Do you need to blow dry your hair when you use this as I just normally leave my hair to dry without using hairdryer?

I did leave mine dry naturally since I didn't have a hairdryer, but if you want to use a hair drying, I would say getting a diffuser, I got one recently and I can say I'm having my hair natural a lot more.

No not really , if you hold the can away and just spray it lightly. You will have to judge for yourself how much to use. I could brush my hair without tugging at my hair.

Does it work as a heat protectant too or just a detangler?

I use for my 2 year old, I don't apply heat to know that I'm afraid . It is really good for tangles I use it an have very long hair :)

With really fine adult hair, does it weigh it down, or make it greasy looking?

I've only used it on my 8yo daughters hair but we used A LOT at a time and it never became greasy.
