Must have and easy to read
This book is so good. I read reviews as to how easy it was to digest and when it arrived I thought it was quite a lot to get through, but started it and easily finished it on the same day. It’s payed out so you can dip in and out and read the chapters your most interested in but I read it from start to finish and I have already recommended it to others in the same situation as me and my son. Can’t recommend it enough.

Life changing book
The way Sarah has described ADHD is so relatable and yet practical. You just know she is on your side, not taking down at you or lecturing you (as we all know that doesn’t help). It’s life changing must read, not just for ADHD parents, probably every parent and every human, anyone can encounter a ADHD person in the life.

Life changing
Do not underestimate what the right book can do for you and your family. This is the only book that gave us the tools the fight the system and confirm your instincts to enable you to speak the “language” of the specialist. It enables you to quantify your gut feelings and confirm you’re not imagining things. It allowed us to set the scene and educate the school. Our son was misdiagnosed privately three times. I was able to challenge the final diagnosis ONLY with the help of this book. We then obtained a QB test and he was confirmed as not only ADHD but extreme ADHD. We can now have the tools to support him and us as a family understand him. I am so happy that I was recommended this book and now finally, after 6 years we can make a plan for our son. I absolutely know without this book we would not have been able to. I cried my way through talking to the pages. I used it to write all my notes and bullet point evidence as case studies. Read it. Keep reading it. Use it as a constant reference. It’s the best. Without a shadow of a doubt. There are simply not enough stars to give it or thanks to the author. She’s changed our life and will make our sons life better.

Don't judge a book by it's cover!
A great and accessible book that has helped me understand myself and my child better. It has given validation to how we parent our child. However I find the title offensive and the cover amateurish. I only bought it due to a recommendation from someone otherwise I would likely of scrolled past when searching on amazon. My child saw the book and was upset, please consider a more ADHD friendly title.I feel the title and cover does not give a true representation of your professional status.

That’s My Son!!
Ok, I’m only about 30 pages in. Already I think this has been one of the most worthwhile purchases I’ve ever bought through Amazon, and I use Amazon for everything. My family and I struggle with my boys mood swings, inattention, overtalking, fidgeting, forgetfulness, he’s addicted to games, freaks out at any hint of injustice. This book has been a revelation and I don’t use that term loosely. All the traits mentioned are part of a larger diagnosis that could possibly be ADHD. We love him dearly but not sure what else we can do, normal parenting techniques are NOT WORKING.I’ve approached this subject with his school multiple times and they simply don’t want to know (I’m guessing it adds overhead to the teachers). I’m getting nowhere with the system but want to do my best so thought I’d buy a few books ontop. This book is such a rare find, I’ve yet to read any strategies 30 pages in on how to deal better with his needs, but for the first time I feel hope and will be buying a physical copy of this book to share with my wife. This might well be a life saver for my son as well as my family.Without being over dramatic I can see some light at the end of a long tunnel. It is a long way, but understanding the condition and acceptance is surely the key to living with ADHD, rather than battling against it.

Now I understand myself and myself!
A very well-written and easy to read book. Every sentence was useful. I feel so much more equipped to help my son with ADHD and there is still time now to repair our relationship. Having been diagnosed with ADHD at the of 3, and never being medicated, I finally understand myself. A lot of questions answered. Thank you Sarah!

eye opening!
Having two grandchildren displaying traits of ADHD this book has helped me to understand that their brains are working in a unique, complex manner and it is for me to adapt my responses and behaviour to ensure they can do the same. - Thank you!

An Excellent, Helpful & Useful Book for Anyone Dealing with ADHD in Some Way.
I read this lady’s article in a newspaper & got the book on audible. I realised I needed in paperback to write on…. and I never write on books. I mean get resort to Post-It notes!! It‘s not just for parents with young ADHD kids & I have found, and am finding it, excellent. I will use it for (all of) our family but in my role as a teacher.
