Heavy Duty Traverse Rod Center Open 48-84 inch White

I had VERY heavy 10' long, 300" wide lined panels with a center-part from several decades ago. They'd been in storage, but the pattern has more or less come back into style and we decided to pull them out, dust them off and hang them in our home-theater, but then I realized we didn't store the old metal rod! As heavy as these are, I wanted top-of-the-line, quality! After looking into the cost of a local drapery store to come hang them (OUTRAGEOUS PRICES!!!), I started looking online. Lots of cheap crap out there. Didn't even know the NAME of this manufacturer, but it looked like the old-style good quality rod I remembered. So I'm wondering if this is the company that has been making these forever (?) because when it arrived, this rod is JUST as I remember the one from last century (millennium, whatever) -- and indeed, it is very heavy-duty, well-made, etc. Once we got it installed a month or two back, it works perfectly, just as I remembered. That said, I do understand why labor prices have gone up, and hanging curtains (correctly) is a LOT of work. Measure twice, hang once, right? Still, even with a helper, good tools and ladder, it still took us several hours to hang them. Thank goodness I have no plans to move or change them anytime soon! (Will probably leave with the house if ever I do leave.) Anyhow, great product. Relatively easy to adjust. No complaints!

Exactly what I needed for my living room window. Good quality, and adjusts to the size you need. I have moderately heavy, lined curtains, and they open and close easily. Includes instructions and all needed hardware.

These are amazing rods. The quality is superb. So far we’ve bought 5 of these (120” and 150”). Came in two pieces that slotted together and could be adjusted to your specific measurement. The slotting together had zero affect on the glide. It also came with plenty of gliders - so many that we removed half of them. Easy to install. The sad thing is that these are being discontinued. Hope there is something comparable in the pipeline ( that are corded).

Rod installed and seems to be working well. It opens and closes smoothly. The installation instructions are not very clear. It was trial and error. One piece of the hardware was bent and we had to straighten it to make it work. This was irritating but not something that kept if from being installed. Really do wish the installation instructions had been clearer and more complete.

Arrived on time with no damage. I installed this traverse rod over a 10 foot bank of windows in my vintage home. I like the way the track drops into the side brackets and locks lateral movement. The kit comes with 3 support brackets, I only needed 2 for my 10-foot span and the track feels sturdy. The instructions were a bit misleading for centering the moving parts, but once you figure it out it's actually pretty easy. Having a second person to hold the pull cord still while you make adjustments may be helpful. This was very difficult to install. the cord was somehow wrapped inside and it took my very capable handyman all day to put it up.

Does its job when required. Installation was straight forward. High quality and strong materials.

Product is as advertised. Customer service was excellent. The unit arrived with the tension bracket shattered. After contacting Rod Dyson they immediately shipped out a replacement, which turned out to be 2 of a much higher quality than the original.

Great versatile product. You can change whether to have to cords on the left or right hand side. And you can also convert it to open on only one single side. I bought 2. I converted one to have the strings on the left hand side and the other one to open only on one side instead of both sides. Strongly recommend.

Bought this and installed this for my cousin. She is pleased with its ease of operation, compared to the one it replaced.
