Dan PostBoots Mens Renegade Round Toe Boots Mid Calf - Brown

Boots fit like a glove, I’m normally a US12 D but I followed advice and went down a size (US11 D) so the boots could stretch and form to my foot. It was hard to get my feet down the shaft but a bit of effort and they just slipped on and fit really well and the insoles are very comfortable. The boots weren’t hard to take off and were much easier to put on the second time still with a snug fit.

They are Dan Post boots, so I expected them to fit as well as my other Dan Post boots, and they do, except they pinch like hell right across the base of my toes where the boot flexes as I walk. I suspect they will break in over time and my toes will become less sensitive, but these are gonna be hell to break in, and I am unaccustomed to that from a Dan Post boot. With the 20% discount I got from Amazon, I got them for less than $100, so I suppose I will just put on heavier socks and bear with them. I have lubed them up good with mink oil so the color has really darkened up and they were dark to begin with out of the box, but they will now be more water resistant and hopefully the extra mink oil I rubbed in will soften up the leather a bit more where they flex. I bought these intending them to be my every day kicks, so I hope they get broken in soon!Updated 09/19...The break-in was not as bad as I thought it was going to be. The mink oil softened the leather enough so that within two days they weren't pinching any longer. I'm wearing these boots 10-12 hours a day now with no rubbing or blisters...really comfortable for western boots. They are sized right at 11D and look good (to boot) so I have kicked them up a star to 4 stars.

I'd say go a half size smaller than normal. A pair of insoles made them fit better.Aside from that, they are great.

First pair of cowboy boots, and these fit, smell, look, and feel amazing. Very happy with my purchase, and arrived super fast. Definitely recommend
