I have 1/2 an acre so I have 2 batteries **Q: Will it damage small trees and hedges?** A: I have to say that it is most disappointing. It hardly damages the grass . If you get anywhere near a tree or hedge the blade will fly off. I was getting through 5 or 6 blades a session. So the answer to your question is probably not. I also have to say that I have just been out and bought a line strimmer, much better. **Q: Is this easy to assemble?** A: Yes, there is nothing to assemble really.
