RV Camping in State Parks, 7th Edition

Not a lot of information, but helpful in narrowing down the initial search.

So it’s a good list. I was hoping there would be a personalized paragraph description of what is at the park. We want to tour state parks while that state in the RV. A list of all parks by state and then a list of features or highlights- say like waterfalls, hot springs, caves, kayaking, laundry etc with a bullet point if the park offered that would be really helpful planning a state tour.So its a book of lists and then you research what the highlights are if any. Also wish it listed the state park fees. Some are $7 pp on TOP of the camping fee so can be the same or more than a private campground. $35 to camp and 4 ppl at $7 is $63 a night we found out.Many private places with full hookups, laundry and WiFi are $45-65.

I purchased this book as a Christmas gift for my parents as they love to take their travel trailer and go. While I am impressed with the thoroughness of the author with sharing camping places, I expected a bit more with maybe pictures to show what the campgrounds look like or amenities. Pretty much you can just get the same information off the internet. He appreciated the gift so I guess all is good which is why I rated stars.

We found this book somewhat useful driving from Arizona to Niagara Falls and back Sept 2022. It only gives you very basic info about each State Park, but not reviews or other useful tips you get from other sources. But it did help us limit the number of state Parks to further research.

This gets borrowed alot in the campground. These parks are less expensive. With the infromation you can look them up on the internet for ratings. I look it over before we head out on a ""let's just go" trip.

Got this because it had actual addresses, I don't like using the GPS like most other RV books have, it took forever to locate my destination, with and address you can go straight there, no hassles! Also gives details on RV spaces, and how many spaces, hookups, etc.

A must have book for any camper that travels full of very good campground information including phone numbers, addresses, Number of campsites and much more. Pick the state that you want to go to and every state park within that state is listed, a dictionary of information.

A great book with easy and basic maps of each state that offers state parks. Also gives a brief summary of what services are available at each park. We use it along with other sources. The maps are great to show basic locations of parks!
