If you're fishing from shore, you can slow the retrieve as you near the shoreline and can avoid hitting bottom or snagging. This lure works well for bass as I have caught them on it as well. Caught a lot of jacks **Q: what size trible hooks come on the 2 inch size bait?** A: Hooks are very small and not very strong a good sized redfih will bend the trailing hook. I think they are a 12 or 14.
