Filter is quiet with excellent water circulation. Downside, there are no replacement sponges available to order. Hopefully to original sponges hold up well.

The media could not be loaded.  Update to original review — after about 3 weeks use, the pump is still working well and quiet, though the filtration media could be improved. The tank had a bit of an algae or fungal bloom where the filter sponge and media weren’t sufficiently handling. I’ve now replaced the included ‘stones’ with carbon-filled filter packets; this, along with a water change and treatment, has kept the tank crystal clear for over a month now.Filter is being used in a 30gal bow front tank. Aesthetically, it’s not bad tucked away in the corner and a larger plant conceals a lot of it.Noise level is comparable to other impeller type pumps, which is fairly quiet / low white noise. The primary noise is proportional to the amount of air that’s allowed to siphon in. Full flow with full air is somewhat loud as would be expected. The air control valve is somewhat lacking and I will probably replace it with a screw type valve. The audio in the video sounds louder than actual.Overall satisfied with the pump and review will be updated once it’s been in use for a while and fish introduced.If looking to add a spray bar to this pump, it doesn’t appear to be easily compatible due to the type of nozzle it has, but maybe, with some clever engineering, some type of adapter or reworking could make it work.

This filter works great and is super quite. Its also nice you cna shorten the canaster but it takes up alot of room in a 20 even with the shorter body and less filtration. I used it in a 24 and it took up alot of space but it cleans water faster than any other filter ive seen.

Been using for awhile, very strong and cleans the tank very well, happy fish, clear water all the time, Highly recommend

I attached 4 pictures. 2 are immediately after instal, 2 are 22 hours later. I cleaned the sponges 2x over the past day because my tank was left with little maintance for over 6 months while I was away and turtles are dirty. Its incredible! It's basically acting as a passive vacuum clearing all the debris from the top of the rocks with no effort. Its also very quiet. Im a very light sleeper and i had no trouble at night with this thing operating, my air stone is louder than it is. Super easy to clean too! Less than 5 mins to thoroughly clean all the sponges and it comes apart easily but is strong when put together. Absolutely recommend to anyone with a larger tank or with reptiles or amphibians.

Update: Filter still works great BUT you cannot get replacements for the sponges. This isn't an issue with the small flat sponge, but the sponges for the individual canisters have certain shape & holes that fit over the bio filter tubes ( I actually only got one to begin with). I wrote to seller and they responded saying they don't sell replacement sponges and to buy in any store. The only issue with that is you cannot find sponge filters with this size shape & holes anywhere. I'm not sure what the answer is for this. Changed rating from 5 to 3. This is the fourth filter I have had to purchase for my 55 gallon tank and I believe we finally have a winner! Filter works great and is easy to assemble & disassemble. It easily accommodates whatever media you'd like to use. Adjustable flow is great too!

Absolute trash product. Im so upset I missed the return window. I forgot about it since it hasnt been used since the first week. I just did a water change and decided to try again. 25g of water in the tank and it isnt even taking in water let alone cleaning anything. Don't waste your money or time on this 12 part contraption that doesnt keep water clean

The media could not be loaded.  I have been searching forever for the best filter. Bought one of these for my turtle tank and I loved it so much I bought it for my own personal tank that I’m working on. Yeah it’s a little too big to sit upright in my personal one but I managed. But I’ve read the reviews, and normally I don’t fully trust reviews. But I believe when people say that it’s great and that they love it. Because it really is great, filters my 60 gal tank perfectly.

I've sampled a bunch of filters and this one has a pretty good water pressure. My turtle and fake plants are flying all over the place, however... The power cable is too short so it looks really bad and dangerous with my cables tangling all over the place.
