Add butter and you're good to go or your favorite gravy. These are a perfect substitute for mashed potatoes. At first they have a "palmy smell" as you prepare them, but add butter and they are so similar to potatoes. They are firm and stout like the mashed potato and taste great. I am forever thankful to have found the Palmini products. I hate cooking (and food prep) and being on a low carb diet was killing me until I found them. Worth every penny to have a good consistency product that is about as good as the original you are substituting. I buy in bulk as it's cheaper than buying one at a time in the big box or grocery stores.
