Amazing system, great for stress-free bullet journaling!
Important Note: If you plan on buying this binder, it comes with 30 sheets of paper, so I would suggest buying a pack (or two if you can find that wonderfully priced bundle pack here on Amazon) of refill paper when you buy it just so you'll have enough sheets of paper as soon as you get started.I LOVE this "binder." I use it as a bullet journal and the "smart" binding allows me to remove pages I mess up, add new pages in if I forget or need to add something new, and overall just took away the stress of how permanent and well-planned a bullet journal would need to be. In fact, it took me so long to bullet journal because I couldn't bring myself to do it in a hardbound book. What if I forgot something? What if I needed to add a page? I'm sure there were workarounds, but this system is just so simple, and the paper is AMAZING and holds up well to lots of various pens and inks. Once I found this binder, I pretty quickly realized it would make a good bullet journal option, and so far that's held to be true. So if you're looking for a bullet journal system that allows you to move things around and take out ruined pages, this is definitely the answer and will soothe some of your planner creating woes.It only holds about 30 sheets of paper, so you probably won't be able to do a whole year's worth of planning in it if that's how you choose to use it. I've bought a 1 inch 26 ring Kokuyo binder (also available on Amazon) to transfer all my old monthly pages into as I use them up and store my years of planning as I continue to use this system, so that may also be a consideration you might want to make if you plan to use this system as a bullet journal planner.I was also initially worried about the size, but the B5 size is perfect. The cover is plastic and is very floppy, and I'm also concerned about that floppiness allowing the spine to snap somehow, so I've bought a cover (from Lihit Labs, sorry Kokuyo, but you didn't have anything that would fit these!) to give it some protection and allow me to store some things inside it and really use it like a planner/notebook/wallet combination.Hope this review helps you achieve your bullet journaling dreams if that's how you choose to use it!

Great quality, convenient size, great color.
I bought this a binder for my new journaling project. The quality is amazing. The blue is transparent and comfortable to look at. It functions well. I haven’t added any extra sheets.

Great Notebooks
I got the blue (RU-SP700LB) and the green one (RU-SP700YG), The first picture is closer to the color of the green you should expect. It's a very vibrant color and is very pleasant to look at. Further more the sticker that came on it came off super easy and the residue was easily rubbed off. It only holds about 25 papers, but I too a big chunk from my paper pile and put it in and it closed no issue. the zipper closure is easy to use, all you need to do is literally press down on the tab and it pretty much pops open, I threw both of them around while the it was closed and let my students play with them and they stayed close! I really like them! They also literally are nonexistent in my book bag, i think if i replaced all my notebooks with this, i could easily scale my bookbag down to a large laptop bag and be fine! I included my hand size because i have a rather large hand verses others i saw. This is B5, so americans (myself included), if you don't know what to expect or how international papersizes work I wold google them. A5 however will only be slightly smaller and narrower.

Expensive
Good little (and I mean little) notebook. I didn’t notice it only comes with 10 sheets and for the price, I think it should come with at least 20. I immediately had to hop back on here and order paper refills. So $7 for the notebook and $6.10 for the refills for A5, yikes. This paper came highly recommended from some people in the fountain pen community, but I think I prefer my Emshoi notebook/journal as far as the way the pen writes on the paper. Seems a teeny bit scratchy with the Kakuno despite the paper feeling softer to the touch than the Emshoi. My Pilot Namiki fountain pen ink (cartridge) in purple doesn’t bleed through the other side. There is some ghosting though- I’ll include a picture for reference. Overall satisfied I guess, but not satisfied on the price vs quantity.Edit: I have since gotten a Kaweco fountain pen, and it writes smoother on this paper. So maybe some nibs just don’t play as well on different paper. I am getting feathering here and there though. I did some little ink swatches with a q tip on one sheet and it didn’t bleed through.I added a sticker to mine because it was too plain.

Cute and versatile
So I didn’t know but mixed layout A5 spiral notebooks are super rare and the one I bought years ago is about to be full so after scouring the internet I came across these binder notebooks because they’re modular so now I can have grid paper in one section, blank in another and dotted lined paper too! I almost didn’t purchase because I saw that it holds like 25~ pages but you can definitely comfortably add way more.I added my own stickers to personalize the binder covers but I’m so excited to use this notebook!! The pages feel so premium too!! I love it :•)

Portal and cute binder!
INSTRUCTIONS: First off, it has a lock to protect the binder. To take off the lock, place your finger through the bottom hole of the lock and push it out to the left. If you get stuck here, grab onto the bottom tabs on the side and pull those out. Next hold the lock and pull it up. To open the binder rings, press the plastic button on the top. Make sure you don’t block the bottom part of the spine or else it won’t open. To close the binder, you pinch the rings together. It’s a very slim and portable binder with a nice pink pastel color. It’s best paired with Kokuyo campus paper which can also be found on amazon. The maximum amount of pages it can hold is 25 but I was able to squeeze in 40. Though if you overload the binder too much it will have a difficult time closing and your pages will easily fall out. I wouldn’t suggest being rough with this binder. It holds pretty well, but also feels fragile if handled carelessly. The paper is very silky and high quality. It feels smooth to run pen ink over it. Unfortunately, b5 plastic sheet protectors will stick out. I’ve used maruman clear pockets, so the kokuyo campus clear pockets /may/ fit better. This binder seems to be best for holding paper and not plastic sheet protectors.Overall, the Kokuyo brand is very high quality as most Japanese stationery products are. This binder is a great way to save buying multiple notebooks. It’s easily refillable and portable to carry around. If you want a binder that is a little more studier and can hold more pages, I would get the 60 page version of this binder, which is a lot thicker and more sturdy.

color is off. mechanism (spring) is flimsy
I have been using Kokuyo products for years, but this mechanism is not as great. maybe i got a faulty part. it's quite flimsy and opens up ever so slightly with the tension of paper added to it. i tried not adding too much but it's still opening. i tried adjusting and closing it by pushing with my fingers but it still does not quite stay closed/ no "click". the color is more teal than blue. i purchased this color specifically as a darker alternative that conceals the contents enough, i don't feel it's quite as dark as i need but ok, wish it was about 30% darker or denser. the paper is as always smooth. the plastic itself is good thickness.

Flexibility of a binder, footprint of a notebook
I have found this to be very helpful in my studies. I am a medical student, and I have found it is helpful to use paper to help cement tricky concepts vs digital note taking. I also use this for practice problems. I have appreciated the ability to remove/rearrange pages like a binder, while having the slim profile of a notebook. The closure took a little getting used to, and it popped open once when I accidentally put it in my bag upside down. Be cognizant of how you handle it and you should have no problems. So far it has held up to repeated opening/closing, and seems durable enough, but I wouldn't recommend storing it in a bag where it is going to get crushed/jostled by other items. I have found the size is suitable for portable use, fitting in not just backpacks, but also totes or large purses.Overall, I have enjoyed the experience of using this with paper I ordered from the same company (item number NO-836BT). Combined, they provide a lovely writing experience.

perfect notebook.
this notebook/binder hybrid was exactly as described and is just what i needed. traditional spiral notebooks don't work for me as i'm left handed (using them is generally uncomfortable). this one is perfect as i can take notes on the looseleaf sheets (10 were provided with the notebook and you can easily find packs of 100 on amazon) and then place them inside the binder. price was also fairly reasonable considering the quality and that a regular binder from staples is around 10$.

¡La portada es fantástica!
Es muy delgada y tiene un tacto muy agradable. El mecanismo de anillas es interesante y también muy práctico. Viene con unas 20 hojas incluidas.
