Since I got them, he hasn't had any issues. They have a fine gritty grip to them, but not too much. I've had them on my hardwood steps for 3 months (at the time of this review) and they are still holding strong. The only issue is that they are impossible to clean. Because my stairs are each two pieces instead of one long piece, I had to cut these strips in half length-wise and then apply them. I applied them in cold, dry weather. I pressed each piece down by hand and then stepped on each part of it to make sure it was secure and had at least 24 hours to stick. To this point through icy, snowy, and arctic weather, they are still holding strong and have not begun to peel or lift up.
