Practical no-nonsense advice for writers!
I have many books on writing but this is the only one that gives such practical advice. It covers writing for magazines, writing fiction, story structure, why characters appear wooden, viewpoint, tense, approaching an editor, story structure, short stories and much more. The advice is concise, no flim flam! The author knows what she's talking about, having had 20 books published as well as countless magazine articles. I wish I'd bought this ages ago.
