Seems pretty sturdy. I have fixed an at2020 xlr mic to it and I am pleased with the results. I do stick my head in close to the mic and have the sides wrap around as much as they can.

The media could not be loaded. This is a fabulous product....so much better than the really heavy rigid curved version that I've been using.This one has a really simple fastening which just screws directly onto your mic stand. My other version had a really heavy clunky add on frame that was always slipping and you'd be half way through a recording and the mic and shield would just droop down part way through.You do lose a little bit of the mic positioning (forwards or backwards) with this simpler design but it's definitely worth it for ease of use.It sounds great, I've used it for vocals and acoustic guitar and it does a great job of deadening the sound and capturing a great live take.See the video for unboxing.....

Bought this based on the recommendations I read here. However in the description and in the instructions, it states that the microphone could be adjusted horizontally across the holding bar. This was not the case. As such the mic could only be positioned outside the enclosure. Defeats the purpose really.

My son uses this microphone shield alongside a Blue Spark SL microphone for video streaming and also recording voice overs for video logging.We live close to a busy road, so there’s frequent road noise and my son said that this shield managed to remove it significantly, maybe not as good as you would get in the studio but still a huge improvement.The shield arrived well-packed in a nice box. It’s easy to assemble and seems to be well-made. Its five-foldable panels fold in on itself to a nice smaller tidier size for easy storage. It’s made of thick sound absorbing foams and premium steel with high-quality screws that can be easily mounted to a microphone stand or fixed on a tabletop.For £49.99 (at the time of writing), seems like a good value for a well-made and good quality product.Thank you for reading.

I was a bit sceptical as to whether this would make any difference at first but boy was I surprised! Setting up took a few mins. The panels can be adjusted to suit you need which is good. Once setup I noticed right away that this was going to stop echos and improve sound recording and it did absolutely that. Would defo recommend!

The absorption properties of this shield are dense and much better than a standard lighter weight single layer foam system and more adjustable with the 5 panels that can be completely flat, or bent inward to varying degrees. This is a bit heavier than I realized, so one must be sure that their microphone arm is able to handle the extra weight, or get an additional clamp arm system to attach this to.The build is very good, from the sound absorption materials to the metal pieces in the back and the front. When not in use, this is able to folded back easily and put back in the box if needed. This not only looks professional, it does appear to be of a more professional quality for stepping up from a basic set-up.While the folding panel isn’t very big, it’s a good size for when one is needing a bit more matte sound and further removing ambient sound and working more directly with even cleaner audio. This is a very nice, albeit small, quality isolation shield. Thanks for reading.
