Lonely Planet Canada: Perfect for exploring top sights and taking roads less travelled (Travel Guide)

A real must read book, if you’re thinking about visiting Canada.

Nice book and delivered to the door.

I surprises me a bit that there aren’t separate guides for east and west Canada. Few people would travel across the whole country in the same holiday and those that do could buy both guides. But most travellers would only need one guide or the other, whilst many will visit more than one province, so won’t want to get the highly focused guides on each single province. The only reason I say this is that there are an awful lot of locations that are simply not mentioned at all in this book, presumably due to space constraints.

As always Lonely Planet provides all the information that I want, never fails.

No what they were, Lonely Planet. Not as in-depth, already out of date due to the pandemic even though it's a 2022 release, and many famous hikes and attractions missing from the national parks. A real shame. Losing their egde.

Die touristischen Gegenden sind gut beschrieben, mit hilfreicher Info für den individuellen Reisenden. Aber die weniger besuchten Gegenden sind nahezu Null Infos - also wer abseits des Touri Pfades unterwegs sein will sollte Ausschau nach was anderem halten

So informative. Try adding in website links and a fold-out map of each province

I bought it because I came to visit a friend for a whole month. When I arrived, I brought the book out to plan day trips and also our longer railway trip. That's when I found out this Canada book was missing the area and small towns I came to visit ... wasted money. It has a good section on Vancouver, Montreal, and Quebec.
