I've bought some bedding sets that cheap before and they fell apart in the washing machine the third time I washed them. This, isn't so bad. While it isn't a traditional quilt type bedspread, it is about as thick as a quilt. It's not sheet-like thin, which was a relief. I've only had it long enough to wash it twice, but the color has held and no fading. No strings hanging or any other tell tale signs of being a problem. The material is a little scratchy and not what I would call soft, but it isn't unbearable.It fits the rustic decor of our log cabin home perfectly and the king size that we bought, fits great. It's not a smaller king size that barely covers the mattress.
