AcuRite 00620A2 Stainless Steel Oven Thermometer (150°F to 600°F)

The AcuRite 00620A2 Stainless Steel Oven Thermometer has been a solid addition to my kitchen. It gives reliable temperature readings and helped me realize my oven was running a bit hot. The numbers are large and easy to read through the oven door, which is super convenient when baking. The stainless steel construction feels sturdy and holds up well even after multiple high-heat cookings. Overall, it does exactly what it’s supposed to do and helps ensure more accurate cooking. A dependable tool that is worth the money.

I was beginning to think I just can’t bake my Grandma’s pound cake anymore. It failed constantly- undercooked inside or overly browned. The difference was that I’ve moved a few times and never knew ovens vary so much in registered versus calibrated temperatures! The first use revealed my current oven is off usually by 10-15 degrees or more. Such a great little kitchen accessory. Baking is too expensive and time consuming to take chances on temperature accuracy. Also like the large print numbers that are easy to see through the oven door. Highly Recommend.

Seems to be accurate, I have to leave it for a while for it to register the temp. I can only hang it on the front of the oven rack as it's too small to fit on the front to back rack bar. Handy tool to confirm my oven is reading correctly.

Much (much!) nicer than I would have guessed at this price point and a few of the comments. If you need to test your oven's temp, look no further. Well made IMHO, EZ to read and Oh yeah! I FOUND MY TOASTER OVEN WHEN SET AT 300 IS ACTUALLY 400+ Now this may explain the puddles of melted plastic. Clearly I don't have a brain. Yes, TV dinners etc don't belong in a toaster oven. I typically drop the set temp by 10-20 degrees. But I did not expect 100+ degrees off. This thing went nuclear. (My bad. I knew something wasn't right - DUH!) Would/will/shall buy again.

I have altered my negative review which described this thermometer as inaccurate. Having placed the thermometer directly in the center of my oven, the reading was exactly what I set the temperature to. Previously, I had placed the thermometer very close to the front of my oven, which resulted in a reading that was about 5% lower than the oven's temperature setting.

Big easy to read numbers and well made not flimsy.

I bought this to test my new oven's temperature settings. I already had another manufacturer's thermometer, but it's a tad bit old so I figured that I'd get a new one. Well, before and after I made oven temperature adjustments, I used both thermometers. This one consistently gave lower readings than my old thermometer! I'd send this product back but, I've already thrown out the packaging. This product is a "maybe", at best.

I needed an oven thermometer that I could actually read and this on by AcuRite is perfect. I have tested it against another thermometer I have (much more expensive with tiny, tiny, writing) and it appears to be acurate. I also, like the many different ways it can hang/stand in the oven.

Arrived quickly and seems to be working fine.

There's nothing wrong with the product, but note the dial is Fahrenheit, not Celsius. The description talks about Celsius which is what I wanted. I didn't think to look at the photo (my fault).
