I received a used item!! I would be VERY disappointed and, quite frankly, ANGRY if I had bought this as a gift for someone. There are water spots on it, the lid is dirty and doesn't fit on the teacup correctly, and the gold trim is coming off in some places. I expect better than this for a $16+ (now $20) teacup! Amazon Support did issue a refund for the amount I paid for it, but the teacup has unfortunately gone up in price by $4 in the few days since I bought it. So now I can't even buy a replacement without spending more money. I am incredibly disappointed. I don't know if it's even worth it to buy another one. Who's to say the new one would actually be NEW and in good condition? I will say that it does seem like it's a *decent* quality item, that I think would be really lovely if it wasn't used and damaged. It is printed though, not painted. Just so others know. At least (from what I can see) the print is on straight!

A nice simple, but elegant tea cup. Price wise I paid more than necessary as the price fluctuated between under five dollars to twenty and change.I immediately wanted it when I saw it and paid the asking price. I didn't get it at the lower prices offered later. You win some you lose some.I win WAY more than not, I just didn't on this one.I believe it is just glazed ceramic. Don't put it in a microwave. Place a tea bag in the cup. Add hot water, maybe a little honey, put the lid on the cup and before long it is ready to sip or gulp whichever way you consume it.It's alright for guys too. Unless you have a problem sharing some time with a lady or whoever.Very nice, functional inanimate object. Just be advised on the wide price swings. Do you want to pay $20.xx + tax or less than $5.xx + tax. You have to wait for it to arrive from China either way AND WITH THAT, I ordered teo inexpensive items from China that were reported as delivered that were not delivered to me and had I not kept close tabs would have been out over ten dollars.Amazon refunded my money. Carrful with orders you place with long lag times.

Amazon won't let me tell you the real reason this should receive zero stars. So, I will just let you guess. It's been 7 months and should I say shipping is REALLY slow?
