How many will fit on mandrel?

They are doing good job! I put 3 discs on one of the mandrels, and just one on another, because l needed it to clean narrow space. They are quite thin, l think you can fit few of the same grit on one mandrel

How do you get the disks on the shaft?

It screws onto the post of the shaft. Your dremel kit should have come with a handy tool for this. Easy to put on and take off.
