You need to read this book if you are in compliance, ethics, legal or develop corporate training
I heard the author, Travis, speak at an event for compliance and ethics professionals, and I was eager to see if his book delved further into training that changes behavior. Fully Compliant is a must read if you are in compliance, ethics, legal or develop corporate training because it is full of pragmatic tips on how to create training and communication that is more than a check-the-box exercise such as tools to overcome trainees' biases, moving content closer to the decisions being made, making compliance the path of least resistance and the benefits of problem-based learning. The books uses real scenarios such as the littering program in Texas. I bought each of my team members a copy for team discussion.

Relevant to the state of corporate training with pragmatic recommendations
We work with many large corporations to improve learning and behavioral change. Travis Waugh's view of the problem is consistent with what we hear from Chief Learning Officers and training managers. Many systems are in place to check the boxes for adherence to training however the ROI for training and the actual improvement in employee performance is suspect. Travis gives a pragmatic approach to improve the impact of training and he backs up his recommendations with relevant learning research. I recommend this book to corporate training professionals that want to improve the efficacy of their programs. - Rich

A MUST for Learning Professionals!
A practical look at why traditional learning won't move the needle and simple ways to instill a thoughtful approach with the learner in mind. I loved the suggestion of having attendees write down a behavior they learned that they want to remember on a postcard. Mail the postcards back to attendees a month later as a reminder. Similarly, send a follow up learning a month after an online course as a reminder of key concepts. Excellent read for anyone responsible for managing and educating others!
