My Go-To Headphones for Sleeping
I need water sounds to sleep and my spouse snores so these are the best solution to both issues that I have found. The sound quality is great for my needs (don’t need extra bass or anything fancy). The foam cushions do not bother my ears much / cause soreness (not nearly as much as ear buds do), though there was a bit of an adjustment period right at first. The foam speakers are also easy to adjust in the sleeve and easy to remove in order to wash the sleeve when needed. The sleeve /cover/band fits comfortably around my head and I like how these double as an eye mask to block out unwanted light too. I was a little concerned about buying the wired model, but even though I toss and turn at night, the wire has never been a problem in terms of sleeping/ choking hazard. The wires do become twisted and eventually fray (I think my first pair frayed after about 9 months, so I replaced them) but at the very reasonable price point for which these are offered, I don’t mind replacing the wired apparatus as needed. I actually prefer the wired ones to the wireless models as the battery packs on the wireless models sometimes dig into my forehead, which is uncomfortable. Pros: easy to adjust, easy to wash cover/sleeve, good sound quality, low cost, comfortable, double as an eye mask. Cons: wires eventually twist and fray The bottom line: I use these every night and they help me achieve optimal sleep. Highly recommended.

Great for nodding off to background noise
I've tried using headphones to drown out miscellaneous noises at night; the problem was that the padding would begin to tear as my head moved during the night, and the wire would stretch and break at stress points, like where the cable meets the jack in the headset. Sometimes I would also wake to a sore ear if I managed to move my head in the wrong way during the night. CozyPhones solves most of that problem. The wiring is thin and I'm a little wary of how well it'll hold up over time...usually if it's going to wear, it'll wear out for me in a period of a month or two, but so far it's working. The headphone speakers themselves are thin discs that I don't feel when laying on the headband. The headband itself a s sliver too large for my head, leaving it a little bit loose, but that may also help prevent it from feeling too warm as summer approaches. It still stays on my head during the night, though, and for me that's the important part. There are two things that I would say are drawbacks. One, the headphone speakers are small disks that aren't attached directly to the band. They slide into pockets that allows them to adjust, and slip, inside the band. I might go to sleep with a speaker right over the ear but wake up with them in a slightly different position, off-ear, but the headband still in place. The second is that these are not like over-ear headphones when it comes to sound staying personal. If I crank up the volume a bit (which compensates for the movement of the speakers during the night), my wife said that she can hear some of the sound. Basically the headband doesn't dampen sound from escaping your head so much as muffles what doesn't come out of the disc-speakers a bit. You might want to be careful of volume if you're listening to audio books at night and don't want a spouse or companion to think they're hearing voices. Overall, if you want headphones that are comfortable for nightwear without leaving you with sore ears or (so far) having to replace more expensive headsets every month, this seems to be a winner.

A great solution at a great price
I purchased this primarily for listening to white noise while asleep, and for that purpose this is a great little product. I've used it about a week. Here are the things I like about it: * comfortable band, not too tight, doesn't make me feel hot. * fits well underneath CPAP mask * the cord looks more robust than typical cheap headphone wires * the location of the speakers is adjustable within the band * if I slide the band down over my eyes, it does double-duty as a sleep mask. It doesn't block all light, but it blocks enough that it helps me stay asleep. I was hoping it would let me sleep on my side comfortably, and with a little adjustment it does. You need to position the speaker so it's not pressing directly on your ear, but perhaps just a bit forward. Part of this is having a good pillow, by the way. A funny thing I noticed is that if I want the band to go over my forehead instead of over my eyes, it tends to slip down anyway. It might be my blockhead, or maybe I can turn it around and mess with it some more. But I usually wear it over my eyes anyway so I haven't bothered. Regarding the sound quality, this isn't an audiophile's high fidelity headset. But it's not meant to be either. For listening to music/speech/white noise while snoozing or falling asleep the sound quality meets my expectations. I usually use it for white noise but sometimes for music. The description says it can be used for air travel, and I think it would be good for that except that the speakers probably aren't quite loud enough. Airplanes tends to be noisy and the band doesn't do much to squelch external noise. I haven't tried it on an airplane though since I have noise-cancelling headphones for that already. I'm giving it 5 stars because it does exactly what I need it to do, and its cheap! I think i'll pick up a spare just in case.

Good enough
These work for my purpose, and they're cheap. I use these to listen to things to help me fall asleep (ASMR, ambient noises, human quaalude Bob Ross). Things you should know to help you decide: 1) They're not real loud. This works for me, since I'm trying to sleep. Otherwise, it would be a problem. 2) The "phone" part of the headphone is in a stiched pocket, which makes them adjustable to where your ears are, but also means they can "float away" on you by shifting in the pocket. This does not help with the aforementioned quietness, as you will find occasionally that you can barely hear it anymore because it shifted away from your ear. 3) The "one size fits all" nature of the headband can make it difficult to use. I have a big head. I mean, I'm not Frankenstein's monster, but I wear a big hat, you know? Basically, the only way to keep the phones comfortably over my ears is to wear the headband as a sleep mask. If I lift the band above my eyes, the phones won't sit over my ears, so no sound. 4) This may be common to all headband type headphones, but, despite having a big head (resulting in the headband probably being tighter on me than most), it still feels a little loose. I mean, it's not super loose, but loose enough to want to spin round my head when I'm laying down. Again, causing volume/ear alignment issues. I can't say that issue is specific to this product. I don't know that I'd want it too much tighter. I don't want to wake up with a headache. Some of this stuff, I think you just have to deal with. Whatever their shortcomings, these are way more comfortable than trying to wear any other type of headphones while sleeping. And these work well enough that I don't feel bad having spent a measly $20 on them (I've spent that much or more on things I regret far greater).

I am thinking of buying ten more of these suckers!!!! Love them!!!
I have to copy almost everything another reviewer posted because I have had the same excellent experience. I have not been sleeping well due to my husband's increased snoring since his allergies have been kicking in, but I can't wear earbuds while sleeping because they hurt my ears. This was the perfect solution and since it's wireless I just bluetooth it to my phone and choose a youtube sleep music video. Fifteen minutes later, I am out cold!! I wish the battery lasted a little longer and the hole in the fleece part was a little larger to plug it in to charge, but everything else is wonderful. "I ordered these CozyPhones Sleep Headphone Contour design a few weeks ago as I was frustrated trying to find headphones that wouldn't hurt my ears at night and leave me with an earache in the morning as I sleep with NASA Biurnal Music. My worries that they would be hot were unfounded as even though they are fleece, they are not hot. I have long hair and the CozyPhones Sleep Headphones can be worn over or under my hair and still stay on through the night. My second worry from was from reading a review that they wouldn't stay on as I toss and turn quite a bit. I received the Adult Large and was concerned because they were not a snug fit. Not so, they do stay on and I think a snug fit would give the wearer a headache by morning. They are comfortable and even more so compared to having earbuds jamming into the ear while lying on them. The earpiece is a flat somewhat soft disc that can be carefully positioned inside the earwrap while it's being worn. I sleep even better as I don't wake up from my ear hurting like they did with the earbuds."

Comfortable sleep headphones with good sound
I've been using another brand of sleep headphones for several years, but wanted to try these as a backup. I use them at bedtime for audiobooks or sleep sounds (ex: rain sounds). The CozyPhones are lightweight and comfortable. It was a bit difficult to adjust the speakers into the exact position in the headband. The speakers are flat, they don't hurt my ears, and the sound is good. These are not noise-cancelling, but they do help distract from noises such as snoring. I've been using them for several days, so I'm not sure about the durability yet. The cord has reinforcements at the plug and at the split where it enters the headband, so that may extend the life of the speakers. I"m pleased with the purchase so far.

Speakers didn't cover both ears at the same time.
I've had many headphone bands over the years, but this one was more awkward than others. The no matter how I positioned the headband, I couldn't get both speakers over my ears at the same time! The sort of defeats the purpose of having stereo headphones!

Safer than earbuds, if your head fits the one-size band
I sleep with an audio book every night to help me get to sleep. I've tried a lot of different types of headphones and these by far seem the LEAST damaging to my hearing and most comfortable. PROS: - Seem less bad for your long term hearing - You don't put them in my ears, so you don't have to worry about an over-cranked volume inside your ears nightly. - Washable - The speakers come out so you can wash the band. - Comfy - Compared to earbuds, which hurt if you sleep on your side, you're able to sleep, toss and turn without readjusting the earphones or removing one. - Purple Fleece - I thought it was pretty, and the material was soft, but not too warm. CONS: - Not Adjustable Size - Tight or loose depending on your head size. It was tight on my head, I'm hoping it stretches a bit with use, but for others in my house, it's been loose and falls off. It would be 5 stars with size adjusting Velcro like other reviews mentioned. - Speakers move around - sometimes the speakers move around inside the band, while I toss and turn. This isn't a big deal but you do have to readjust occasionally. Only annoying if you are trying to adjust while trying to stay sleepy. Alternative placement tip: If you are a side sleeper, and the speaker ear resting on the pillow is too loud or uncomfortable, just wear slightly diagonally. Kind of like a jaunty hat, tilted to favor the ear not on the pillow and above the ear resting on the pillow. This way the side with the speaker on the side pillow is on the side of your head above the ear and the hair tucked behind your ear, the other speaker should still cover the ear not resting on the pillow. If you are looking for an instant sleep kit.... I pair with the cute mp3 player I received as a gift and free audio books I get from LibraVox. This is the cute mp3 player, it's perfect for JUST this use, has a sleep timer shut off and I don't worry about sleeping next to my phone every night: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07Y1GX5BH/
