PUR Chillout 2-Speed Personal Fan, Blue

I have bought these for many years, often leaving them running 24/7 for months at a time and have never been disappointed in the quality, despite being mostly plastic blade/housing. They put out a good blast of air, run pretty quiet for the first year or two until the buildup of dust starts to wear on the exposed parts of the motor and then it gradually gets a little noisier, but maintenance can do wonders in returning the fan to a quieter mode of operation. I use these until they are beyond help, which usually takes many years. Honeywell / Duracraft is an excellent brand as far as these little fans go. If you need a fan about the size of a dinner plate in diameter, and don't mind having only 2 speeds (low / high), and don't want some screeching noisy thing, then get one of these. Definitely worth the money and long-lasting in a fairly clean environment.

I bought this fan to take on a carnival cruise. It is very lightweight and small in size, so it was easy to pack it for the cruise. It was perfect for our stateroom and kept our room nice and cool. It was surprisingly very powerful! The only thing that I don't really care for is the knob to turn it on and change the speed. I think they could improve on the knob somewhat, otherwise this is a great little fan!

I travel weekly for my job, packing this solid (plastic) fan in my suitcase. I've had this model for years and purchased this second one so I can leave one at home and take one with me instead of using the same for both places. Great performance and value for the price. The two speeds are nice, High - really moves the air and with minimum noise. Ideal for those of us who need a little bit of background noise while sleeping in hotels!! 10 out of 10 in my book!

This fan is quiet, the noise that it makes is a pleasant white noise. No clicking or rattling. The only real issue I have with it is the dial on the front is shaped in such a way that makes it difficult to turn with only one hand. You've got to hold the fan with one hand and turn the dial with the other hand because you can't grip the dial with one hand.

This fan is like Mighty Mouse...lots of punch in a little package! It’s exactly what I expected. My dad had one at home that I’d use when working out to keep my cool. I bought one for myself when I moved into my own place and it does a great job keeping my little studio apartment cool. The range is surprisingly far. At the lower speed, I could still feel the breeze from 20 feet away. And it’s even stronger at the higher speed. It’s lightweight so it’s easy to move around. You definitely get enough bang for your buck!

My wife and my sons all "NEED" to have a fan on when sleeping. After killing a number of different fans over the years I have found that this model is by far the best as far a durability, quality of construction, and reasonable cost. Even though it only has two speed that is all I think you really need. Low is good for white noise & high for when you are hot and want some good air movement. I have seen it in dirrerent colors and under differnt brand names but they are all good. Buy it, you will like it.

Great item blows a lot of air

We first purchased this exact fan in 1987. We hate change. I know it is now branded differently but the design is identical and we run this fan all night as white noise and for air circulation. They last on average about 10 years, as this is the fourth one we have purchased over the last 30 years, and this last one we expect will last another 10 years, 4 fans over 40 years of hassle free service. Honestly we run it all night every night. It is a simple design and the motor just keeps running. We cant complain getting 10 years of continuous service each and every time.

Small, Quiet, Powerful Fan. Searched for this specific fan to replace the last one - which worked perfectly until it was damaged in a mishap. Went with blue this time :)

wonderful little fan, have at my office desk and one for my kitchen counter!

This is a beautiful and quiet fan. I put mine in the window at night to 'quietly' refresh my room with fresh cool air that is quietly delivered!

Works very well and is a quiet fan.
