If i used a XLR to 3.5 adapter to plug this into a dslr would it work?

It needs phantom power to work. So, if DSLR has phantom power then it should work. I love this mike, I use w/ fs700 and one on a portable Tascam recorder.

Will this mic work with the sony ex3 camera? and would it plug directly into the camera without any other components?
