There are 8 different modes of this led headlamp. I suggest you use the side weak beam for reading. The light is more scattered and soft.

Is it waterproof? Does it truly withstand going underwater?

The waterproof level is IPX4, means that it can withstand the rain or water from outside, but can't withstand going underwater.

is it usb charge battery? What is the battery capacity？

Yes, you can charge the headlamp with USB, and the battery is not removable...As advertising, the battery capacity is 1500mAh. By the way, I used it all night, it was still bright. (I chose low brightness mode)
