I purchased it because it is the only electric foil razor that I can use on my throat area and it cuts hair smoothly without pulling or leaving razor burn after shaving. The cleaning station is great, although the Braun cartridges are pricey. These work well, and are cheaper too. The system is open so the alcohol can evaporate from the cartridge even if it is not used every day For that reason, I cleaned my razor after every shave, and they're lasting 30 days.
