Equate - Hair Regrowth Treatment for Women with Minoxidil 2%, 3 Month Supply( 3 - 2oz bottles ) by Equate

I don't see a difference between Equate for Women and Rogaine for Women, except for the price. My hair has thickened since using this product. Keep in mind that you might loose hair in the beginning when your hair follicles change their growing cycle. My hair is doing very well now. It really upset me when I first started using it and I lost more than a normal amount of hair. I have had a problem with container nozzles a few times. The cap that covers the container's push-button nozzle (with three tiny supports) takes a little pressure to apply and remove. Recently I was trying to remove it by pushing it on one side (as required), when the cap came off and my hand broke one of the tiny nozzle side supports. I can still use it but have to be careful or the nozzle tips sideways. Once both of the tiny side supports broke and I had a terrible time using it. This container could be improved if the cap would screw on the container instead of the consumer having to push down to put it on and push sideways to take it off.

UPDATE: I've been using this for 2 years now (twice a day) and am so very pleased. My hair is very thick and lush now for the first 5 or 6 inches. When I put it into a braid or ponytail, it's no longer thin and sad looking. Bottom line, this is a marathon, not a sprint. If you don't have any bad reactions to it, just stick with it. Good results come with time and consistency. Don't you hate reviews that say "Just received my order. Can't wait to try it!!! 4 stars. This is not one of those reviews. I actually used the product! I started about 3 months ago when I noticed a ton of shedding and my braid was half of what it once was. Being a woman of a certain age, I know it is peri-menopause related hair loss. I religiously used it twice a day as directed. As my hair is very long (goes to the middle of my back) I don't wash my hair every day. The product did not leave a sticky residue, but it does thicken up your roots, so you can probably skip the styling products you usually use. One tip...I did apply it first thing in the morning and let it dry while I drank my coffee, then I would brush and style my hair for the day. I'm finishing up my 3rd bottle and ordered more. I haven't noticed new baby hairs yet, it's too early for that but I'm just so happy the shedding is back to normal levels. It should be noted that I also color my hair a dark brown to cover the grays and I have not had a problem with using this in the morning and then coloring my hair in the evening. I mix it up between semipermanent and permanent coloring. If you are worrying about menopause related hair loss, don't hesitate. This will probably help you.

I have used minoxidil for 15 years because of a bald spot on the crow of my head. No one can even tell the thinness was there! This product is less expensive, no odor, works great!

I bought this 2% Minoxidil treatment to help with sudden hair-thinning/loss, due to extreme stress. I've only used it (as directed) for one month, so perhaps I should wait longer before reviewing. So far, I haven't noticed any difference, nor any slowing of hair loss whatsoever. I recently ordered the same brand, but with 5% Minoxidil. Hopefully, that will provide a better/faster result.

I am completely blown away that this actually works for me. During menopause, I noticed my hair was thinning. So much so that when I stood under a light source, you could see my scalp. Not a good look. I started wearing wigs, which is ok, but they're hot and not cheap! So I decided to give this a try, but was sure it was just another product full of empty promises. I've been using it and after about 3 months I seriously started to notice a difference . I'm 6 months into it now and it's improving all the time. I don't know if it helped, but I buzzed all of my hair off to about a quarter inch when I began using this and you can no longer see my scalp in the light! I can't believe this is actually working for me. You have to be patient and diligent though. It takes a while to see any change, but if you're like me, you will see it. Even my hairdresser says it's working. I'm currently growing my hair back out and will ditch the wig as soon as my hair gets longer. Just try it!

I just assumed that minoxidil didn’t work and I’m not sure why. It wasn’t until a relative started using it, and I could see it working, that I decided to try it. I could see new growth in a few weeks, that’s how fast it works. After 9 months of using it, the difference isn’t astounding but it is noticeable and has made my very thin hair look like normal, healthy hair. The Before images are on the bottom in my photos. You get good at applying, so it takes less than a minute and becomes part of your daily morning and evening routine. It doesn’t smell and isn’t messy. It’s affordable. Wish I’d found out that it works sooner.

My hairdresser mentioned this product, and reviews seemed okay, so I bought it to put on my temples where my hair is thin. I used it once daily on average. The first month was fine. No results yet but no irritation. Then suddenly my scalp started getting super itchy and flaky where I had applied it. It got red, scabby, and seeping with clear fluid. WTF?? I took a week off. But the same thing happened when I applied it again. Then I thought, maybe I've just gotten to the bottom of the bottle and the propylene glycol is concentrated there. So I tried with a new bottle, shaken well. Same thing happened. I don't know what changed but my scalp is disgusting now and I have no hair growth. No product has ever irritated my skin so badly. USE WITH CAUTION. By the way, the product information says only 17 percent of women in their study achieved significant hair growth after 4 months.
