OMG this is heaven.
I will update this after 3 months, 6 months and a year. I am 5'10 and weigh 335 lbs. We removed the mattress from it's shipping box and rolled the well packed item to the bedroom. Absolutely no chemical smells at all. Using a traditional oak bed frame and box spring we put it on it and opened the package. Easily done, it gently sprang to life. It was 11 1/2" deep and after 6 hrs. of rest opened to 12 1/2". As I had no real choice I had to use it for the night. OMG so soft, but firm. I have sciatica so I was hoping this would help. After a week I can truthfully say I'm no worse and have spent every night in comfort. The only complaint I have is the mattress doesn't really have a firm "edge" to sit on, I have to kind of roll into the middle. Looking at it each morning and measuring I find it springs back to it's original shape. Perhaps at a later date it might not considering my excess weight, but we shall see. I haven't noticed any "overheating" either because of the material. So far its been money well spent for a wonderful, comfortable nights rest. I have been through two $1000 mattresses in 5 years, so this is a bargain if I only buy a few of these. Don't be afraid of the horror stories about unwrapping and setting up, the package arrived UPS in good condition. See you later.****UPDATE-3 MONTHS**** A solid 12" all around, still firm like I need it. No noticeable smell from day 1 or now. No lumps developing on it either. We reverse the mattress every 30 days and all is, as it was the first week. With my weight is the "real" test. Still comfortable and keeps me happy. See you at the end of 6 months.****UPDATE 6 MONTHS**** Everything still great. No complaints, still 12"+ and no bumps or lumps. ****UPDATE 9 MONTHS****Still 12", no lumps or bumps, enjoying a restful sleep. I do rotate it once a month as a precaution. See you at the end of 12 months****UPDATE 1 YEAR****All is well, still going strong, very pleased. I'll buy again if this EVER wears out !!!***** UPDATE 15 Months*****All is well, still going strong.*****UPDATE 18 Months*****Still retains its original features, money well spent.*****UPDATE 2 YEARS, 2 MONTHS*****Still comfortable, now weigh 350 lb. No lumps or bumps, (on the matteress)*****UPDATE 3 YEARS, 6 MONTHS, Getting a little lumpy in places, move it around hides it, unfortunately I am now 370 lb. but still happy to get a great, restful sleep

Exceeded expectations; great gamble on a hybrid mattress for back problems
I'll start with why I chose this mattress out of the thousands to choose from online and in store. My first and most important priority was something that would alleviate my lower back problems. I have longstanding back issues and I needed something that would help with the stiffness in my back and hips. My previous spring mattress was a firm but I liked the support. I found some relief on my boyfriend's mattress, but found that his was a tad too plush, that it did not properly support my pressure points and I'd even wake up with numbness sometimes. I would classify his as a medium-plush to medium. His mattress is a hybrid spring, just like this one with the memory foam layer that is much like a topper. I am not too fond of straight memory foam mattresses because I have yet to find one with the proper support and I personally believe that they hold their shape less longer over time than a spring mattress. So as I researched for a hybrid spring mattress with a deep depth, I went through several websites, vendors, and reviews. I came really close to purchasing two other extremely similar mattresses to this one on this same app, and wayfair. What it ultimately boiled down to and what made me decide on this one was the amount of positive reviews it had and the price point. The price combined with the amount of people who are satisfied with this hybrid spring mattress, just can't be beat. I told myself that if I'm going to take a gamble on buying a mattress online and get a horrible mattress, I'd rather beat myself up over losing out on $240 as opposed to $500 or even $1000. So I convinced myself to bet on this one, and hoped that the odds would be in my favor and so far so good! I was a little wary of these new mattresses that come compressed in a box. The box was too heavy for me, someone with back issues, to take up a flight of stairs. There was no chemical smell at all. As soon as we removed the about three layers of packaging, it immediately began to grow! After about an hour, I would say it was 75% there. 24 hours later, I felt that the corners still needed time as the directions state to wait the full 48 hours before putting any weight on the mattress. It was about 90% there, and although my boyfriend insisted we should try it out already, I stood firm and told him no we should wait the full 48 and I'm glad we did! We've slept on it for the past week now on the floor as we wait to purchase a new bed set and it's like a dream. I wake up with no back issues whatsoever, no numbness, nothing! It hugs my hips in a way that is supportive, but not too firm, yet not too plush. Ever since messing up my back, I am not able to lay on my back for an extended period of time. I'm a side sleeper. But I've found that I can even fall asleep on my back with this mattress, and I haven't been able to do that in years! My boyfriend is a big guy, and his side is not uneven or sunken in any way. Now my only concern will be if this mattress will stand up to the test of time because unfortunately I cannot give my word on that yet but I'm very impressed and hopeful so far! If anything changes, I will edit this review. I'll give an update in 6 months to see where we're at with the mattress. If you're looking at this mattress and you've researched for weeks like I did, I say go ahead and take a chance on it, because you won't be able to find such a cheap hybrid spring mattress anywhere else with so many great reviews. If I had to rate the firmness of it, I'd say it is between a medium and firm, a medium-firm if you will (on a scale of plush-medium-firm). I tried to measure it with an old school ruler (as shown in pictures) and I'd say it's a solid 12 inches, probably not 13 but honestly I'm so satisfied with the comfort of the mattress, that the exact depth is the least of my worries. EDIT AFTER OVER A YEAR: We've had this mattress over a year now, and it's still going strong! Hasn't sunken in anywhere and it is still as comfortable as the first day we got it. I wish I knew a long time ago that it was my old mattress that was not allowing me to sleep on my back, when I thought it was just me. I fall asleep like a baby on my back now, and I didn't think that would ever be possible again due to my back issues, but now I see I was just sleeping on the wrong mattress. I can't recommend this one enough!

Great for heavier people.
Bought this bed back in 2018 and its still pretty much like new, there's absolutely no sagging. All my friends have mentioned how comfortable it is over the years. For me it's too firm, I'm only 115lb so I dont sink very much. Its a more comfortable sleep on my back than on my side. This wasnt much of a problem when I was younger, poorer, and less achey. If you're on the heavier side like my friends, this will be a comfortable bed. If you're light and a side sleeper, opt for a softer mattress. For the price I paid its been a very good mattress.

Super satisfied so far!
This may be long. We decided we wanted to try to upgrade from a queen sized bed to a king sized bed. My wife has degenerative discs in her lower back and experiences a lot of back pain. We have 2 small dogs that sleep with us. Just wasn't enough room in the queen bed to allow her to get comfortable. So we wanted to try out a king sized bed on the cheap. We bought a used king sized bed that shockingly matches the rest of bedroom furniture. We read great reviews about this mattress. We got it. I opened it and let it decompress for a full week as the instructions stated. The mattress seemed a little flimsy to me so I had serious doubts. We bought a metal box frame and assembled it so it could fit inside our bedframe. The metal box frames seems to give more support than the old wooden ones. We've been sleeping on the new mattress for 5 weeks now. I have to say we are shocked with the quality. It is firm every where except the very edges of the mattress. Very supportive. We both sleep much better than we were sleeping on our less than 5 year old orthopedic coil spring mattress. It really is comfortable. My wife is able to sleep soundly on it rather than waking up every hour or two and then struggling to get back to sleep. Caveat. I do not think this mattress will last more than 5 years. I could be mistaken. However, at the price we paid, I will still be highly satisfied if it lasts even 4 years. We paid $1,500 for our last mattress and never slept well on it after a year. The mattress before that lasted 14 years (King Koil). I think all in we spent $1,000 including the bed frame, the box spring, mattress, sheets, pillow cases, pillows, blanket and comforter. Highly recommend the bamboo king sized pillows btw. Great for side sleepers or sleepers with neck pain. Don't dismiss it because the mattress is so cheap. It's great so far!

So so worth the price!
Okay so it’s been two months with this mattress. I’ll hopefully get around to updates because I know how much that helped me when I bought this. But here’s what I know now. This cost me a couple hundred less than the mattress I was about to buy. A friend told me I should get a more expensive mattress because sleep is worth it. I agreed but decided ultimately to go with this because the ratings just seemed better over time. So I’ll bullet point to make it easier to follow: 1) mattress was about an inch-1/2 inch shorter than stated, I didn’t care much, it looked comfy enough for me @ ~ 13 inch, I didn’t think the extra inch mattered much 2) I left it alone as long as suggested (I didn’t want to possibly mess it up) 3) I have it on a platform bed with wooden slates which I would highly recommend https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01AB689F0/ 4) i have bamboo sheets (because I sleep hot) which I would also highly recommend https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072WV76WK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_jRkWxjgC3R7AO 5) i have an about 2 inch mattress topper that I previously had so just added it but I’ve slept on it alone and it felt just as comfortable 6) my dog lovess this mattress, she’s picky herself with comfort (boujee pup...) but we both sleep really comfortably on this. I don’t wake up with stiff muscles like I had been. I would rate this mattress as medium firm, leaning more to the firm side of that. I thought I wanted a soft mattress because I love soft things. After researching it, medium firm were the most recommended, which is why I got this. It took some adjustment since my body was ready for some memory foam but ultimately, I think this suits me so much better. It’s not too firm where my body has gotten so stiff and sore from that sort of mattress nor does it sink beneath my weight (if it matters, I’m 5’9”, 135ish lbs) Overall, especially for the price, I am extremely pleased with the purchase and would buy this again. Even if I got just a years sleep on this, if it’s as comfortable as it is now, it would be worth at least double what I paid for it. Update: ~8-9 months later I am no longer sleeping with a mattress topper but the mattress still is so comfy. I’d say it definitely fits the medium firm feel, it’s not super soft, I’ve never had a problem with any dip left in my sleep spot, it’s not so firm that I wake up with aches. My sleep has been better with this mattress and with the cost, it’s so worth the buy. ~1 year: still so comfortable, still holding up, no dips that I’ve noticed, I have gotten deeper sleep on this than I have in a long time, I don’t wake up multiple times a night which I was used to doing, I almost always sleep through the night now, definitely worth the money for me and I would still highly recommend ~5 1/2 years later: I don’t do any mattress flipping but I still have not noticed any dips even though I sleep basically in the same place every night. This mattress has survived multiple moves and falling off a trailer on a highway. I am still happy with my purchase and how it has been holding up!

Feels amazing
Me and my boyfriend have needed a king size bed for some time now. Between our two cats and our dog, we never seem to have enough room to spread out when we need to. I ordered this mattress because of how cheap it was along with the great reviews. I will say that this mattress took much longer to arrive than expected. I placed my order on the 4th, the shipping label was created on the 9th, it actually STARTED shipping on the 11th, and finally arrived on the 13th. So quite a bit of time to wait in my opinion, however not insane as it is a very heavy box. When I did finally get the box, it was damaged and ripped open in one place. However the mattress is wrapped in 3 layers of protection (also to keep it tightly together I assume). I waited about 24 hours before putting it on my bed to use. I would of waited longer, however we decided to have a last minute get together and that ended up meaning I had to move it and put it in it’s place. The mattress itself has a very comfortable amount of give to it when you lay down. It’s not excessive to make you feel like you’re drowning or surrounded, but enough to make you comfortable in any position I believe. I’m a heavy person, and my boyfriend is very thin. We both think it’s comfortable however. We are both also combination sleepers, so we also turn around a lot at night to sleep in different positions. It’s comfortable in all of them. On my side, I don’t feel like my arm is going to go numb, or that my hips will be sore. On my stomach it gives enough so that I’m comfortable without feeling like my back is compromised as well. I also sleep on my back as I tend to find it the most comfortable no matter what mattress you sleep on, and it feels nice as it slowly adjusts to me. I will say it feels to me as though it will sleep a bit hot, however that’s normal with memory foam I hear. Just be prepared if you’re a hot sleeper. I probably would not recommend this if you sleep so hot that you’re regularly sweating at night, unless you have a way to combat that. All around I think this is an amazing mattress for the price. I’m not sure if it will stand the test of time, however I will update this if it turns out that it does start having sunken spots for me. Update: Two years later and I still am using this mattress. I do have a couple things to say. The first would be to ensure you're turning or flipping your mattress regularly. Doing this will ensure that you don't get indents in it. Now my boyfriend is fairly light and does not have an issue with this. Me being overweight, this tends to be an issue after a couple of months with the mattress in the same position. However I believe its recommended you flip/turn your mattress every 3 months anyways. On top of that, its not uncomfortable the indent that I tend to end up making. Other than that the mattress has really held up nicely for something that is two years old and has been put under a lot of stress (lazy days spent entirely in bed; a full grown dog jumping around on it; etc). For such a cheap mattress I definitely did not expect it to last this long. I'll need to purchase another mattress sometime in the next year probably, but honestly might even just get this mattress again. When you consider so many people pay literally thousands of dollars for a mattress that they end up hating in several months; vs something like this being so cheap and lasting around 3 years (under heavy use) I think its well worth the money.

Comfortable & worth the $$
After 5 years of full time use by our teenager and/or guests, we are retiring this bed. This mattress lasted much longer than I anticipated and I think with a better bed frame it would have lasted at least another year or two. It was comfortable & durable. We are swapping out mattresses as it has permanent indents where my kid sits in her bed and we couldn’t flip or rotate it any longer.
