Pro photographer with a variety of gear. I fasten a generic plug-type generic timer-remote to each of my tripods, and leave it always attached to the tripod with a Velcro strap. I attach an interface cable to connect the timer’s remote plug to the camera interface, and leave that always attached to the camera. Every camera, ready to go onto the tripod via Arca Swiss plate interface, and every camera ready to go with the tripod attached remote-timer. This cable works perfectly to interface a Nikon D750 to the remote-timer.

This cable works with my Nikon D600, but the plug that inserts into the camera is longer than the plug on my Yongnuo cable. The fit is so tight that it almost refuses to come off the camera. It feels like it will cause damage with regular use. My Yongnuo cable slides in and out of the camera very easily by comparison.
