TrealBrass Caster Blocks Protal Drive C Hub Carrier Blackening for Traxxas TRX-4/TRX-6 1:10 RC Car

Great weight, fitment, quality, aesthetics. No complaints whatsoever -- would happily point other TRX-4 owners in this direction.

I replaced the poor quality brass carriers on my Trx4 bronco with these Treal units. I should have gone with Treal in the first place because I know their quality, fit and function. I have numerous Treal upgrades and they have all fit like a factory glove! These carries are no different. I have aluminum axle housings and the Treal units bolted right up to them. The quality of Treal products is always outstanding, including all the hardware and sticker sheet. I have no concern about paying a little more because of these outstanding qualities. I'm also replacing the carriers on my Redcat gen 8 scout. I will do a review for those too. You won't be disappointed with these carries from Treal for your Trx4!

The TRX4 is known to be top heavy, but you don't buy it for a competition crawler. I bought this in addition to Treal portals. I had a limited budget and really wanted the covers in black to have a minimalistic look and these were the perfect fit. I have heard axle outers and kingpins can be a weak link so before I broke my stock ones I decided to upgrade.Pros: These installed without any issues. They do have a few degrees less caster than the factory plastic outers but since the TRX4 isn't fast this won't be an issue. Less caster will make it easier to turn the tire, but sacrifices high speed stability and wheel centering. I won't be going faster than 10mph so I'm not going to notice the difference. The black finish was flawless, they slipped into position with ease and the tolerances were snug but not binding. Screws went in without issue and with a little loc-tite I won't be worrying about the reliability or durability of these parts.Cons: None that I can think of. Would be nice to have some variability in caster angles, but that'd be difficult for such a small part and shouldn't make a huge difference if the angle between this and stock are only a few degrees off.Overall: As an engineer, I approve of the quality of this product and its fitment to other parts around it, and would recommend this product to my friends/family and to those looking to purchase this part. I will glady search for Treal parts the next time I am in the market for more Traxxas TRX4 parts.
