I have tried chemical and physical exfoliation in the past, but the results were always temporary and sometimes irritated my skin. I bought this after watching some youtube reviews, and I absolutely love it. I chose the normal skin variation (each color of the product is for a different skin type; pink is normal). I noticed an immediate difference after the first use; my skin was super smooth and soft, and the blackheads on my chin were completely gone. The foreo website recommends using 2x/day. I hesitated at first because my skin is easily irritated, but it is gentle enough to use morning and evening, and after I use it my skin feels amazingly clean and soft. I feel like my skincare products absorb better after using also. After using about a month now I feel that overall my skin is softer and brighter, and sort of glowy. I would go makeup free if I didn't have some sun damage and insanely dark circles. Doesn't help those concerns, unfortunately.I was able to register my product code with Foreo, so no issue with fake products. I do recommend going onto the Foreo website to read the product manual because the instructions in the package were not helpful. It shows to turn it on and wash your face with it, but the product is designed with two modes and it pulses to tell you when to switch to a different area of your face. I have very dry skin, and I felt that my face skin was not absorbing the product I put on. Plus, I have blackheads problem. After using for 1.5 months, I can say that my skin has gone a lot softer. My face feels clean, but not dry after I use this to wash my face. and my facial products are absorbed 100% better. I like this little one the best. Easy to handle and of course, it is great to pop in my cosmetic bag when traveling. My face likes to have this done every day -- if I skip a few days, my face starts to feel rough with cell build-up.
