Poor Quality Control
This is not my first Wilderness Systems kayak but my third. My second Pungo. First let me say that I think WS makes a great kayak and that is why I trusted in buying this boat on Amazon when I saw it on sale for $850 and free shipping. Great deal!!The boat arrived over a week later than initially scheduled, not that big of a deal. But then when I found the deep gouges in the stern and all of the small holes in the molding, bungees not fully secured, deck emblem cockeyed, and a rough edge on the outer rim of the cockpit opening, I was extremely disappointed.I was hoping to reach out to WS via my order thru Amazon but there was no such option, leaving me with no choice but to leave a one star review in the hopes that WS or the Amazon retailer that sold me this boat made on the Friday before Memorial Weekend to remedy this situation.

Not recommended
This WAS a good boat. Light for it's size and material, tracked well, fairly quick. After about 18 months(in May of 2019) the thermoplastic began to crack around the carry handles, eventually breaking so that now there is but holes in the deck where the handles once attached. The boat was under warranty, which stated simply that Wilderness Systems would repair or replace the boat for defects, at their option, for 3-years from the date of purchase. Since they don't make the Pungo 12LT boat anymore (big surprise there) and they couldn't repair it, I expected a credit for the purchase price at my dealer so that I could purchase an equal boat. After 3 months of my dealer bugging them, they finally offered just under 1/2 of the purchase price as a credit. This is deficient. I am thoroughly dissatisfied, will never purchase another Wilderness Systems product, and cannot recommend the company to anyone. My recommendation is, don’t buy anything from them. Buy your boat from another company that stands behind its products.

Disappointed
Very disappointed in the workmanship of product. We were so excited to actually be able to order a pungo as we have been waiting for nearly two months. When we received it we unwrapped the product and the top was great, after further examination of Pungo the bottom has a huge dent that you can not get out, see my husband ruler for reference. We looked up to see if this is a common issue and did not see anything referencing a defect. Yes it still floats but with the money we spent we anticipated top quality, performance and style. With a huge inverted dent it seems like the tracking would be affect. We decided to go with the Wilderness Kayak due to the rave reviews and Ytube reviews. We are not pleased. I hope that Wilderness System makes good on their Limited Lifetime Warranty.

Perfect for Giants!
I am 6’8” and 260 lbs and I had no trouble getting in and out. I even had to shorten the foot pedals. The seat is very comfortable and offers adjustments for back height, lean, and seat angle. That said, this it is definitely a recreational kayak. I’m hoping to take it out on the Great Lakes but I will have to add a float bag because there only a rear bulkhead. I was also happy to see that Wilderness Systems has a bunch of accessories like a cooler that fits the rear hatch and a sun shield to protect your legs from the sun with such a large cockpit.

It's a great kayak
First of all the delivery: the company contacted me early the day of delivery and verified everything. They delivered on time, no issues. The outer wrapping was torn up over about half the kayak but the only damage to the kayak was a few scuffs, much less than what it gets when being loaded on my truck.More critically, the kayak: The kayak is great. I am not a small guy (6' 4", about 260 pounds) with a 34-inch inseam. The kayak fits me with no problems, in fact this is the first kayak I have ever used where I don't have the footrests extended to the max location. I actually had to pull them in about two inches from max. The kayak is extremely stable and tracks in a straight line with no tendency to curve when I stop paddling. The wind picked up while I was trying it out and it handled well, both heading into the wind and with the wind, showing no tendency to spin. Due to the river and wind directions, I did not really see how it handled a side breeze but I expect it to be similar. The kayak paddles very easily given its size. I expected more resistance paddling but it was little different from my old 9 1/2 ft kayak.Overall I really enjoyed the kayak. I will try to post additional comments and photos once I have several more trips completed.

Shipping was over a week late, was damaged when arrived
I think the kayak is great, but it sat for over a week within 20 miles and I had to force someone to go look for it. finally got it, and it was damaged. All I want is for them to send a replacement skid plate screw, but there is no where that I can find on Amazon to communicate this to them or the seller. So this review is a negative on Amazon itself.I am hoping this will trigger someone to reach out and fix this, or I will return this kayak.

Nice kayaks!
The Pungos are beautiful kayaks. And they are a joy to use. So smooth! The 125 is perfect for my (larger) size. But the 125 is just a little bigger than the 120. When I put the two side by side it is hard to see the actual difference in size.

Terrible Shipping
Awesome kayak as far as performance with a very comfortable seat but the shipping/handling was terrible. It arrived a day early, however, it was in poor condition. The protective plastic wrap was removed and stuffed into the boat. It had various scrapes, scratches, gouges, a few of them on the deep side. It almost looked used. Personally I will never purchase anything of this size from Amazon again.
