These are WONDERFUL!I love that they cook faster than generic lentils and at this bulk discount I have switched to these completely.These have higher protein content and a better chewier texture than regular lentils and they cook up perfectly with basmati rice.The bag doesn't reclose though :( but thankful I had several leftover large empty protein powder containers.I haven't found any foreign matter yet and I have been basically cooking from the bottom of the bag that didn't fit in the containers.

Excellent quality. Black lentils are an excellent addition to all diets. This is a great economical way to stock your pantry with something healthy. Whether made into a salad, or used in a vegetarian dish, they are outstanding

The description calls these black lentils "emergency food supply." But there's nothing emergency-like with these. You can eat these every night and not grow tired of them. They aren't called Beluga (after the caviar) for nothing! They are easy to cook - no presoaking needed - and have a smooth texture with a generous taste. Additionally, these are non-GMO, meaning they are as natural as natural can be. Lentils have provided top nutrition for thousands of years, and these lentils can proudly take their stand next to them. These will be shelf stable for years, so buy them in bulk. You will want to eat them often after you try them!

These lentils are fantastic. They keep there texture, al dente, unlike regular green lentils. They are a beautiful black color after cooking and make a fantastic salad. I recommend them highly.

Quality product. I often sprout this stuff, and get nearly 100% germination rate. Some insignificant amount might seem to not germinate after three or four days, but every time I checked that out, found those were actually starting to germinate, just coming along more slowly. Essentially, 100% germination rate, and I'm well into my second bag. Very pleased with this product. Great indicator of quality.Like the non-irradiated, non-GMO verified status.The flavor is great, cooked texture as expected, no rocks or dirt. Decent price.

I eat a lot of black lentils, and by a lot I mean multiple cups/day, as I'm vegan and they are a major food source for me. These are fine (though I can't tell a difference between these and any other brand), and the price makes it worth dealing with a 25 pound bag. And the bag is of decent strength.However, because it was sent in a lightweight, not quite big enough box, the bag was coming out of the box. I mention this because I will order again but I will also make sure to check for damage that might have occurred.
