I have used Teak Guard on two of my sailboats, and I am incredibly impressed with the product. I did not use the cleaner, but I wish that I had. To prep the wood, I simply used sandpaper, and it is now my understanding that the end result would've been even better with the use of the teak cleaner. This product is simple to use. If you spill any on the boat tech, it is simple to clean up. It does not oxidize and turn dark like teak oil does. It lasts a full season, and all one has to do the next year is clean the surface and reapply the teak guard over the previous year's application. Simple. Fast. Effective. Attractive. One caveat, though: store any remaining product inside over Winter. Do not let it freeze; otherwise, it will ruin the teak guard, and you will have wasted whatever was left over from the year before.

Unbelievably good. I followed the instructions by the book and have been completely amazed at the durability of the finish. I used this product in the teak of my Boston Whaler, and after a year of use in sun and saltwater I have yet to notice in degradation in the look of the finish. This stuff works very well. Exceeeding expectations.

Very reasonable price. Easier, and less messy then most!

Does a good job protecting. Is basically a stain, so a bit more difficult to apply. It will change wood to a certain light brown color so BE SURE TO TEST FIRST! I used this on a teak table and it looks like it survived the first winter without any notable changes to grey. I have tried many other products and think this may be the best. I wish it came in various tones that could be mixed.

Easy to use and has a nice finish when done. I used it on 15 year old teak furniture that I had previous used 'teak oil' on to protect them. The pieces were covered in mildew in months and the process of cleaning started all over again. I tried this product in January. I finished a piece using the lots of elbow grease, the super cleaner and this product and after three months, it looks brand new. Lots of effort to clean but may be worth it in the end.

I started using this product 7 or 8 years ago, when I bought a gallon of it. At first, I thought it was rather pricey, but that gallon lasted me the 7 or 8 seasons, taking care of the cockpit seat teak and toe rail teak on my 43' sailboat with 3-4 coats once each season. This stuff cleans up like a dream just by wiping up if you catch it right away, or perhaps using a magic eraser pad if not. It dries fast enough that I can do the next coat on my seats by the time I work my way around the cockpit with the first coat. Four coats in under two hours! Imagine that.

I usually do not write reviews but I had to this time. My late father has been using this product for many years, not sure how many, but on his 45 year old boat. So it’s is definitely a wonderful product but the customer service from Greg is like no other I have ever experienced and I’m 60 years old. Remarkable, answers in minutes and even on a holiday. Did all he could to help with my concerns, even reached out to me by phone. Wish all companies were like My Boat Store! I highly recommend this company and their products!!!
