This product saved me about $105. It w would have been $80 for the repair man to come evaluate my refrigerator problem and $60 for the part from him, Plus tax, labor and whatever else he would charge me for. I have a Maytag refrigerator side-by-side and it is about 18 years old. We had a lightning storm that fried this part. It was making a clicking noise only compressor would cut off after five seconds. So I bought the relay and capacitor from Amazon for $35 and plugged it in myself. It has been working great and refrigerator is now cold for about 24 hours now. So far so good. There are YouTube videos on how to change this. It is worth a shot rather than paying a repair man or buying a new fridge.

Problem with the switch not accepting the power cable would not FIT the the receiver on the switch unit even though the two switches were identical. Ending up swapping capacitors but did not fix the issue. In fact, it was worse and the freezer totally thawed. Bought new fridge and junked the old one. Three stars for fast delivery and nice try.

Worked great. Installation was very simple, just plug it in. Much more affordable than the OEM parts so I saved a bunch by doing the repair myself and buying from Amazon.

Did some self-diagnosis on my Whirlpool fridge that was not cooling properly. Chose to replace this part first. Easy install. Compressor kicks on just like it was supposed to. Part works fine but did not solve my problem-ended up being the cold control thermostat. Kept this part as a spare as it works like it should.

Super easy to install however I received two of these and they were both DOA. That's what I get for trying to be cheap. Ended up having to pay over $60 for an OEM that worked just fine. Save yourself the time and skip this one.
