Gorgeous book explores well over 20 beginner’s and intermediate’s paper crafting Ideas (step by step) using maps for books, boxes, jewelry, flowers and other foundational pieces, wall and table and more home deco, and a bunch more.It also has short artist profiles of how and why next to pics of their amazing fine art using maps. Totally inspirational.

While this book purports to teach how to use maps to make art, very little of it is actually unique to maps. I love maps and map art. This book is a pretty good primer on making things out of paper, but really, it could be any kind of paper. I learned a few folding technique, but nothing specifically mappy.

Bought this for my wife and she has being having on hell of a good time using it.And me and all her friends have had a great time with the little presents that have appeared as a result of this book.Fun for all.

great color photographs show what you can do with any type of map. The projects in the book are not very complicated and there are easy to follow instructions. plus they show some creative ways you can use simple map art. If you want inspiration to try more complex projects or wish to see examples of art, there is work from some very creative artist. This is a very nice book.

There are so many collage/mixed media books, and this is a good one. The projects are very interesting , and the photos will inspire you. If you've been a map collector, you'll really enjoy using your map treasures in so many ways!

I love this book. Not sure if I’ll ever do any of the projects, but we will see. Quite a beautiful book and I really enjoy just looking at it.

I always read the reviews and wherever possible look for a listing where you can see inside the book which this had. I think I was having an off day when I bought this.This is definitely a book for someone who is looking to get into paper craft or is just at the early stages. There are plenty of ideas and projects to get involved with. Instructions are well presented and photos are good. Good as a quick reference book for creative projects.For me there was nothing new or exciting in this book other than maps were used and most of these can be found as either YouTube videos of tutorials online.

Even better than I expected! Some projects you can do yourself, some stuff just to look at.

Terrible, terrible rubbish book...should be called 'Making Twee Crafts from Maps', as it's all about folding bits of paper to makes idiotic cones, flowers, baskets and the like.
