How wide does this make the pencil? I will be removing for charging

Almost doubles the width of the pencil and makes attaching to the iPad/ charging with it almost impossible. Taking the case on and off is also a hassle, so charging and storing quickly can be difficult.

Can I use a nib cover with this cover please

Yes, you can. I slide the pencil cover over the pencil with the nib cover in place. It holds the nib cover in place quite well.

Is it compatible with the apple brand case on an iPad Air?

If the case has a cut out for the Apple Pencil then yes it’s compatible. My case (not Apple) has a cut out and I don’t need to remove the sleeve to charge the pencil. You have to ensure that the pencil has been registered by the iPad so you know that it is charging.
