Great product, works as described. The magnet is pretty strong, can be difficult to lift off metal plate. The seam allowance ruler is really nice and is a plus.

The magnet has a great grip on it, does not slide around. But it is hard to remove the magnet when finished using. I love the ruler! What a great idea for a sewing tool. I don't know how I did without them.

Ok, lets talk about how strong that magnet is! I was testing it out and I put the magnet down on the steel plate next to the needle and it was so strong it wouldn't come off! I had to take the plate off and then push and slide the magnet off it! And trust me, that wasn't easy! I mean I know its supposed to be strong to stay in place, but yikes! That is like triple industrial strength strong! So just be really careful with that. The ruler is great! It fit the needles and my seam allowances came out perfect! You can clearly read all the numbers on the ruler as well. What I like about it is that its not big and bulky so its easy to use...and its bright so you cant miss it if you misplace it for a second! I give it four stars out of five because that magnet is just too strong and I feel over time its going to ruin the steel plate on the sewing machine. Other than that, this is definitely something that every beginner and even experts need in their sewing case!

Great tool that I use constantly. Florescent green color makes it easy to find. It helps me set up my sewing machine to sew a scant 1/4 inch seam and the ruler on the side helps me evaluate my seam after I sew to determine if my setup is correct. The holes that my needle goes through seem larger than necessary, certainly larger than the diameter of my sewing machine needles. This means that there is some free play that must be accounted for.

The magnetic seam guide stays put! I was worried it would move easily and not produce a straight seam, pleasantly surprised how strong the magnetic hold is. The ruler really helps in establishing a true measurement.

Whoever invented this, well done. I’ve always used a simple block of wood, but the needle and magnetic block are just a brilliant combo. The plastic needle guide is so easy to use and the magnet is VERY strong. Sometimes I struggle moving it! Lol! Very pleased with this and highly recommend any sewers out there using machines to invest in one of these.

Item arrived on time. First magnetic seam guide I have purchased so I was quite surprised by how strong the magnet is. I was using the sewing foot with the 1/4 inch guide that comes with my sewing machine, but this caused my fabric to fray on the edges. Using this seam guide has prevented this. The seam allowance ruler is quite handy to have, eliminating much time to get the correct needle position so that quilt blocks come out to the correct size. The ruler has measurements on the side which I find handy to have when measuring small areas.
