I’ve been looking for a more natural deodorant for quite a while. This one is definitely the best I’ve found

Smells great but it doesn't not work thru the day!!

I gave up aluminum-based deodorants after I was diagnosed with lymphoma a few years ago, but I didn't have much luck with natural deodorants because I have an allergic reaction to the baking soda most of them use. (I have sensitive skin, and baking soda leaves my pits red, bumpy, and painfully irritated.) So when I saw Lafe's makes deodorant with NO aluminum and NO baking soda, I decided to give it a try...and I'm so happy I did! Lafe's "Fresh" (cedar and aloe) has a clean scent with unisex appeal, and the white solid stick glides on smoothly and comfortably.As a vegetarian, I love that Lafe's is cruelty-free, natural, and made with sustainable practices in the USA. It's gentle enough for daily use on my sensitive skin, and it doesn't cause any irritation -- even when applied after shaving. As other reviewers have noted, the scent isn't really noticeable a few hours after applying, but it still seems to be effective (at least for me) in preventing odor all day long. That said, so far I've only been using it while working from home or running quick errands, so I haven't really "put it to the test".I had previously been using Lume deodorant, which is reliable even during exercise and on hot days; but Lafe's is a MUCH better value. So I'll probably continue to keep a stick of Lume on hand for occasional heavy-exertion days when I need something with longer-lasting protection; but Lafe's has become my go-to deodorant for day-to-day use. Highly recommended!

I read a few other reviews before writing this one and I have to say that I don't have the issue of it not lasting the way some others have reported. But at my age, I no longer sweat as much as I did in my younger days so perhaps that is a factor. I prefer deoderants because antiperspirants make me itch and my skin peels. This one has a really nice cedar fragrance that I like especially in the winter and it lasts all day for me. In fact, I've worn the same blouse twice because there was no odor since I'd used this deoderant. Now in the summer or after strenuous activity I'd expect to have to reapply; that's normal with any deoderant, and that doesn't bother me.Lafe's didn't irritate my skin. It went on easily and smoothly, had a nice cedar fragrance, and worked well--at least for me.

I try to avoid antiperspirants due to their aluminum ingredient. While I typically just use a regular brand deodorant stick, I thought I would try a more natural based product this time. This Lafe's Fresh - Cedar & Aloe - Aluminum Free Natural Deodorant Stick is nice because it contains very pure ingredients and no propylene glycol which is very common in many deodorants. I also like that it is free from baking soda because that was irritating when I used it before. I found that this product spreads easily enough and has a nice scent that is unisex. I will say that on days that I am working out and sweating a bit more, it may not last well enough through the day in terms of odor protection. But for average days that I am not sweating much, the deodorant feature seems to work just fine.

Honestly I’m not too impressed with this deodorant. It has a pleasant scent, and can be used for a man or a woman but to me it’s more masculine than feminine scent in my opinion. The product is easy to dispense and glides on underarms fine with no irritations at all. Once it’s on though, it actually feels like to don’t have anything on at all. Underarms don’t feel sticky or greasy and this deodorant doesn’t leave white marks on clothes. I can say it isn’t effective at keeping you dry, I didn’t have any body odor or anything and I don’t usually sweat especially now since it’s very cold here. I would like to update my review when summer comes so I can thoroughly give this deodorant another opinion.

Some work better than others. I keep body cleaning wipes with me, in case I need to clean my underarms. This has a 24 hour protection. Watch out for that 25th hour though. When the time is up, the time is up. Just kidding. If you take a shower daily, you should be good with the deodorant. It smells nice.
