Simple enough and no more tying my shoes!
It probably took me 10 mins or so to get these installed. Idk why a lot of the other reviews said it took them so long. Also, the instructions are super easy to follow. You literally lace them up like a regular set of laces. It's the end that can get a little tricky. Here are my suggestions. 1) after you get the laces on, put the shoes on and tighten them up the way you like them. 2) Tie the knot so that the knot hits the center of the shoe on both sides (when you get it that step, you'll know what I'm talking about). 3) cut and tie them slightly looser than you think you want.. You can always go back and cut more but once it's gone it's gone. Maybe even walk a few steps to make sure before you cut. 4) Then knot that puppy, melt the end with a lighter, and screw the metal pieces together! You'll have to use a little elbow grease to straighten the lace back out but it's not terribly difficult. 5) And last but not least, don't stress too much about it. They're $6! Way cheaper than others I've seen out there. So I just got these today and like them so far. If I decide they're anything less than 5 stars after some wear, I'll update my rating. I hope this helps! Enjoy!

Works as expected - best part is not what you'd expect
OK so they are stretchy shoelaces. Look almost exactly like a normal shoelace. Cut to fit and the barrel connector are fine. Length is more than ample (that's wha- never mind). BUT HERE IS THE BEST PART!Everyone who has ever cut any string/rope/shoelace has at least once used a match or lighter to melt the end. It's just a thing people do. The included instructions actually tell you to do this and literally have a picture of someone using a lighter to melt their cut shoelace. And... (here's the best part) there are ZERO legalese statements about this. None. Not 4 pages of undecipherable nonsense, not even one word. They don't even say "carefully" (but they do point out that neither the lighter nor the scissors are included, which is awesome). Why don't they even say "carefully"? Because EVERYONE already does this. "Don't be a careless idiot when melting your shoelace", doesn't need to be said. "Hot coffee is hot".If nothing else, 5 stars for not involving any lawyers at all.

Best no-tie laces I have tried
I have been using these for several months. No sign of wear, and I prefer the locking mechanism to the ones I have used in the past that have the plastic clamping piece. I think these look nicer and there is enough stretch in the laces that you can slip on the shoe, yet still have a firm fit.I use these currently on daily wear tennis shoes, but plan to purchase again the next time I replace my running shoes.--javasnow

No complaints
No complaints, but having read others I have hopefully a helpful hint. When you tie the knot stretch out the shoelace, push the metal bit back a hair and then tie. You'll have an easier time getting the knot where you want it. Also, I didn't lace it normal. Normally you string it through the bottom and lace up. I tied the metal bit to the end, laced down, and then laced back up with just one half. Then you only have to worry about getting one know in the right spot. Also, doing it that way with sneakers I was able to use one lace for two. Also, stretch it tight a little bit as you lace it, if you don't your shoe won't feel as secure. It helps to check it on your foot before you tie the final know. I am happy with my purchase.

Love these No-tie Shoelaces!
I love these No-tie Shoelaces and will be purchasing more and have some great colors. It’s very convenient to just slip on my shoes. These are also great for kids through senior citizens to not trip and fall from untied laces.Highly recommend to all!Warning: I didn’t have any issues applying these, but could see how someone could cut the lace too short and suggest cutting longer if unsure, better to have too long & cut again, than too short and can’t use.

Love these!
So I have wide feet, but I love shoes. It's hard to find fashionable shoes in wide widths. I've noticed that the no lace shoes when the elastic faux laces tend to fit like a dream. So I decided to swap my laced shoes out with these. It worked like a charm! Not only did it make taking them on and off that much easier, but they fit like never before! I had several pairs that I could only wear to go out in for a few hours because they were too tight. Now I can wear them all day comfortably! These things are a life saver!

Works great and feels great!
Was excited to receive these. They come 3 to a pack. You will want to tie them like you normally would and walk around a little to make sure they fit the way you like. I had to readjust one of mine twice to get that just right feel. Then gently untie the laces add the turnbuckle and knot the lace near the turnbuckle, seal the ends, and screw together. Takes a little doing to straight the lace after screwing the turnbuckle together if you want the straight. If the twist doesn’t bother you then your finished.

Good alternative to tying shoelaces
I was tired of always untying and re-tying my shoelaces so I thot I'd try these. I'm amazed at how comfortable my shoes are using these; I'd thot it would be too tight or too lose. My feet don't quit "slip into my shoes" using these, but it's a lot better than messing with shoelaces every time.
