I am very happy with the device and tested it in the office to see who was eating all the trail mix :) Very easy to setup and create a schedule for making pictures at certain intevals. For $100 the images are of great quality. I can record the whole project easily on one 2GB SD card making 1 picture every 15 minutes from 6AM to 5PM, 5 days a week. I changed batteries every 2 months to make sure it would still run, but they were not dead yet. The software for PC is very easy to use and allows you to easily create a video, just choose the resolution and images per second and press create video. The only negative is that you can only make videos using 300 pictures, so you have to select 300 images at the time to create multiple video's. Using Windows Moviemaker you can add the videos together to create one longer video. Batteries are predictable in usage, depending upon the frequency of the still shots you set it for. I get about 2 weeks from a set taking shots every fifteen minutes. That's not bad. My only difficulty was in opening the clamps to change the memory card, which are very tight, but I guess that's to help keep the moisture out. It works. Now that I have had a few of them in the field for nearly a year, I am seeing some rust on the door hinges. I expect I can clean it off and lubricate it later on, but so far it's not hurting the functioning of it. It would be nice to see some upgrades in the bracket to mount this. I am not using the strap on a tree. The brackets can be a bit fragile. I have not broken any, but they are tricky to get mounted to a metal fence or metal fence post, such as is used on construction sites.
