Star Legacy's Classic White Large Marble Adult Funeral Cremation Urn for Human Ashes

Appearance is better than the photo - more substantial. Delivered in a day, easily sufficient time for a funeral involving cremation. Price is surprising low for this quality.My impression is that funeral establishments are accustomed to having an outside container provided by a family, even if they try to get you to buy one of their own. They will place the ashes in the container for you.We have also found that dealing with a cremation center directly is best if you intend to have a wake or memorial service at home or in a non-funeral establishment location. "Funeral homes" can provide a comfortable location for a wake and traditional amenities such as limos - excellent for a family that is well-heeled and too overwhelmed to plan or who wants a traditional embalming and viewing. If you intend to have cremation and your own memorial gathering and internment, the funeral home system is slower and very much more expensive - charging for services you may not require. They generally use the same crematorium facilities you can contact yourself. Independent cremation centers will usually be able to provide immediate transportation for the body of your dear one, return of the ashes, death certificates and general advice. Your medical providers should be able to advise you whether laws concerning cremation in your state are appropriately strict.

This urn is classic and beautiful; it looks better in 3-D . It is heavy (real marble) and weights over 20lbs (without the remains. ) It arrived safely packed in Styrofoam. The funeral home was peddling a comparable marble urn, but it was merely a marble box, there was not a decorative flair or a plaque...and it cost a whopping $360.00. I'm especially pleased with the plaque that came with the urn. It can be taken to a jeweler to be engraved and then the plaque can be affixed to the marble. This is probably the smartest (and definitely the most important) purchase I've made on Amazon...and I've placed hundred of orders.

Customer service emailed me apologizing profusely about not having the color I selected immediately in stock. I ended up picking another color that was in stock instead of waiting for more inventory to come in. Urn is very sturdy and absolutely gorgeous.

I used it for my mom's remains ... I like this better than the conventional vase like shape and impossible to tip over ... its quite elegant and is made of a very solid marble ... everything about it is very nice and classy ... be warned since its marble, its very heavy ...

This is a beautiful full size urn. This was not available in infant size, but we really wanted this one, so we got it.We had our other children write letters to their brother and put them inside. And we put the umbilical cord inside when it fell off.Wife had placenta encapsulated by midwife's assistant, but the full length umbilical cord she formed the word 'love' in cursive with, and we put that inside.We have a special place inside our china cabinet for this along with foot and hand molds and prints, and a picture of our angel baby.We knew ahead of time that he would not live long, so we ordered this while we were still pregnant.It is quite heavy, because it is marble, but so very beautiful, and very honoring of our son.

Beautiful! Well made. Nice and heavy for a sturdy setting. Unlike some traditional vase-like urns that can potentiality get knock over break. I loved it and so did the rest of the family. 😄
