But my youngest dog (2 y/o Basenji) got past the taste of Bitter Apple after a while and was chewing on furniture. When I use this stuff, he has NO INTEREST in chewing on the furniture. Totally effective. Two notes: 1. Unlike Bitter Apple, which has no taste or scent to humans, you can smell and taste this when you spray it. Kind of a bummer. Last time I used it I took a sip of wine a few minutes later and the wine tasted like bitter lemons. 2. If you have a really tenacious dog, like I do, you have to reapply. It seems to wear off after two or three days, and I'll catch my dog chewing the cushions again. Which I thought was great to keep my rabbit from chewing on things. Unfortunately I think my rabbit is broken, he likes the taste. So now he licks everything! Gave the bottle to a co-worker for her wire chewing cat and she says it works like a charm!
