Q: Would you recommend this chair for 8-10 hours per day/5 days per week sitting in front of the computer?

This chair is very well made sturdy and looks great, with that said 8-10 hours per day one might be uncomfortable, as it has no cushion.

Q: Can someone tell me, please, the actual seat width, measured inside arm to inside arm. Thanks!

Where the vertical part of the arms attach to the seat is 19-5/8".

Q: how to you tighten the arm that attaches to back of the chair?

If the chair was assembled properly you will have wooden pegs or plugs that cover the screws that you are looking for. Remove the plug find the screw.
