Vostok | Komandirskie 650546 GMT Automatic Mechanical Self-Winding Diver Wrist Watch

Es bonito, pocos lo conocen, siempre lo desee hasta que me alcanzo para comprarlo y funciona muy bien.

I was concerned that this watch might be a fake, so I took it apart to verify that the internals matched the internals of a real Vostok. Since this watch has pressure plates and the newer Vostok internals, I know that this is not a Swiss knock-off (the most popular way people clone these watches). As for the watch itself, it is in new condition and the watch's original Russian information papers said that it was manufactured on October 26 of 2021. The watch did not come in the original Vostok box but instead came in an amazon fulfillment box. This is to be expected but also disappointing. The box also came with a short, English translation of the Russian information papers. The papers in Cyrillic do offer more information though. I also ordered the watch that has the black leather band. The band in the picture showed the new band that Vostok uses for their Komandirskie K65. The one I received was a K65 with the old leather strap that was shared with other older models of Vostok's line up. I do love the strap that the watch has but am still disappointed to not receive what was shown in the picture. I do love the watches white face with the black leather strap. The contrast provides a pleasing unique but subtle approach. It looks both sporty and dressy at the same time while still keeping true to its reliability. The wind-up mechanism works as expected. However, if you where this watch day to day, you will not really have to manually wind it up as it will easily keep itself wound up. Of course, your activity level might be different than mine. The date function switches faster than any other watch I have in my collection. The acrylic display does scratch easily but nothing that a $10 polishing kit off Amazon can’t fix. Since I am constantly smacking my watch on different things polishing it consistently will probably negatively affect the watch overtime but there seems to be a readily number of parts available and a lot of how-to tutorial videos on YouTube about servicing these watches at home. The luminous worked better than I expected but overall, it still did not wow me. The 24hr time format on the watch will make it stand out and is a definite conversation starter. It will take some time getting use to it but I did not fine it too difficult as I am used to using 24hr time for work. If you are looking for a true divers watch that is incredibly unique and will not empty your life’s savings then this Vostok Komandirskie K65 is one that I would highly recommend. It seems most people buy the black faced K65 so I personally would buy the white face one since it looks absolutely stunning but also does not scream “hey look at my watch” at the same time.
