Safariland 573 Open Top Magazine and Handcuff Pouch

I like this combo of a magazine and handcuffs that I can easily remove from my hip when getting back into my vehicle. The retention clip holds well when trying to remove cuffs or magazine. The system is a bit bulky in that you will print wearing this under a shirt, but that is to be expected.

Perfect for court, training, and other admin. duties. It is durable, easy to put on and take off while still remaining fixed to your belt while in use. It can be slightly tight at first, but can easily be worked in.

Good quality. Didn’t come with allen key (hex wrench) that I saw on packaging in photos of other reviews, so I have to wait to get home to adjust it. After using it for a week I find it very good, especially after I adjusted it properly. It slides down and on easy, and doesn’t come off until I pull the belt off, which is MUCH better than trying to thread the belt to put it on.

I work a plain clothes assignment, and my mode of dress varies. I do not wear business attire, and I don't do the polo/cargos thing a lot of detectives. If you usually wear one of those combinations, this paddle carrier is a good way to go. I wear "Cuban" style shirts or sweatshirts most of the time. Due to the bulk, if I need to be very low profile (like surveillance), this pouch isn't a good option. But during my usual investigations and office work, it's great. I am wearing it at just about the 8:00 position on my belt.I carry a Glock 30 (10 rd double-stack .45 magazine). The mag is short in this pouch, but that's to be expected. Tension is good.I can fit a set of Peerless 700C (chained) or Peerless 801 (hinged) with good retention. I haven't tried other brands.I like the STX finish.

You won't go wrong with this dual handcuff, and mag holder. Great material, snug fit, and great retention.

This thing arrived way to tight for glock 19 mag and hinge cuffs, ans the belt paddle was too loose; the entire thing would come off my belt every time I tried to draw either. I then has the idea to warm it with a heat gun with cuffs and mag in it, and also heat and push in the paddle, and now it's perfect. Not sure that's what you're supposed to do upon getting a leather holster? 3 stars because it should have arrived fitted. A hair dryer may also work.
