Springfield Marine 1940052 Deluxe Barbeque Grill

We purchased this for our pontoon and LOVE it. It mounts directly on the post that the back table near the captain's chair uses. It was easy to assemble (coming from a guy who hates to assemble things) is easy to setup on the boat, and stores directly underneath one of the chairs. Looking forward to many great cookouts this summer!As an aside: A friend purchased a similar grill and tried to mount it on one of the railings - overhanging the water. It ended with the grill at the bottom of the lake. So I recommend NOT mounting on the raining and sticking with the post inside the boat - assuming you have a pontoon for this.

This so called marine grade grill is only good if there is no breeze going which is pretty slim when out on the water. It won’t stay lit. The flame blows out. It has to be absolutely still to even heat up. I would not recommend this product. I gave it as a Christmas gift and the return time expired before it was used in the summer.

First time is used it I did not notice the burner did not light all the way, only part of it lit. So as you can imagine it did not work very well. I decided to give it a second chance and realized you need to run a flame all the way around the burner to make sure it lights all around. It worked great, I use it on my boat and it is stable using the pedestal mount. I have used it several times for cooking burgers and dogs works like a champ.

We have a pontoon boat with storage on the end of the seating that houses this grill like it was made for it. The concern about the flame going out does happen but we found if we do not close the cover fully for venting, this happens much less often. We boil water with it for early morning coffee (we have a cabin pontoon so we sleep on the lake). It is a perfect size for all our needs, 3 meals a day. Weren't family comes we can cook 20 hot dogs, and veggie dogs, in no time. This is our second one because I ruined the first by trying to clean it with spray oven/grill cleaner... Won't do that again

Really poor quality especially the grill. Poor assembly instructions, parts in the package that are not listed. Definitely would not recommend this product especially for the cost. There was no contact information for the company, no help number, no serial number, etc.

The plastic handle broke immediately when trying to use the metal stand/carrying handle. I used mine the first time on my pontoon boat, slightly breezy day but I wouldn’t even say windy… the flame on the grill blew out every few minutes. It took me 2 hours to cook burgers. The second time I used the grill it worked much better. For what this grill costs it isn’t great.

This thing does not heat up at all. Its a (+)$200 grill and it didn't even cook boneless, skinless chicken. The burner does not let the gas in so that there is even a flame. Not impressed. Stop selling this piece of crap!!! I am on my way to the hardware store to buy a burner and install it so I can cook on my boat.. thanks for stealing my money!!!

Got this as a Father's day present for my dad for out on the boat. His eyes literally lit up when he opened it. It was easily assembled and we were grilling in no time. The boat stays parked at the marina and they take the grill home with them so no one steals it, the grill part comes off the post easily and goes right back on making it easy to transport.

Worked absolutely great. Put it in a plane aluminum fishing boat utilizing a seat clamp - added a lot of fun to a usual fishing trip.

The actual pedestal mount is good but the BBQ itself works very poorly. It will not stay lit in any sort of wind. Since this is supposed to be a Marine BBQ you would assume it would work in marine conditions. Very disappointed would not recommend. At this point I don't even think I could get a refund. I have to pedale plate mounted to my boat and the BBQ is used.
