### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ One of the few Lithium "Power Sports" batteries that actually perform as advertised in cold weather.
*by J***S on January 18, 2018*

Finally a LiFePO4 "Power Sports" battery that actually lives up to it's cold weather performance claims. This battery cranks my 4 cylinder tractor motor at 25 degrees Fahrenheit better than the lead acid battery that used to be on it would crank at 80 degrees F.I have purchased (and returned) other LiFePO4 batteries because they didn't actually perform as their spec sheets claimed. One thing to be very careful with on these "lithium" power sports batteries is that pretty much *all* LiFePO4 cells are manufactured in China, and *most* of the batteries are assembled there, even if being sold by US companies. That seems to lead to specs and labeling that "embellishes" the capabilities quite a bit because, if they lie about the specs, you can't really sue them in China...One of the biggest lies I run into is the "CCA" or "Cold Cranking Amps". Many LiFePO4 sellers refuse to even state CCA, trying to argue that it's "not relevant" to Lithium (I disagree, because in my experience it's important to know if an engine will start in cold weather) while others will simply lie about it. Some of it could simply be lost in translation. They may not realize that "CCA" has a specific meaning in the US Market. For a 12v engine starting battery CCA is defined as the number of amps the battery can provide for 15 seconds while maintaining a voltage above 7.2 volts at 0 degrees F. It's the "at 0 degrees F" that seems to get lost in translation. Because those batteries that claim "550 CCA" do provide 550 amps at 70 degrees F, but at 20 degrees F they fail to deliver even 200 amps. But enough about the other guys. After buying and returning several other brands of batteries I'm happy to report that EarthX actually lives up to their claims. Upon receipt I dropped my EarthX battery into my deep freezer for several hours and chilled it down to -5 F. I then connected it to my carbon pile load tester and was able to pull 415 amps at 8.0 volts. This actually *exceeds* their stated CCA of 400 amps for this battery, not only was the test conducted at colder than 0 F I still managed to get more than 400 amps out of it. Bravo!Furthermore, after letting it rest 30 seconds, I performed the test a 2nd time, and the battery gave me over 500 amps the second time (My carbon pile ammeter only goes up to 500 amps and it buried the needle) and at 500 amps the voltage on the 2nd test only dropped down to 10 volts. On an engine this would translate to the first "crank" warming the battery enough to make sure the 2nd crank attempt was even stronger.Once the battery passed these tests I went ahead and put it on my tractor. let it sit overnight (Overnight low was 19 F) and I went out first thing in the morning and attempted to crank it. By this time the ambient temp had warmed up to about 25 F but the batteries internal temp was probably closer to the overnight low of 19 F. This is exactly the temperature that the "550 CCA" battery failed to crank the motor, but the EarthX spun it over like a rocket. The much larger, much heavier lead acid battery that used to be on this tractor would barely turn it over in these conditions. And the lead acids would only last a couple years between needing to be replaced, making them more expensive over the long run especially when your factor in the downtime of the equipment as well as the time needed to go purchase and replace the batteries. This is an expensive battery no doubt... But if your time and the uptime of your equipment is valuable to you, I'd rather spend the extra money on something that I know will reliably start my engine every time and not need to be replaced every couple of years.

### ⭐⭐ DIDNT LAST A YEAR
*by S***Y on April 29, 2022*

PURCHACED THIS BATTERY FOR MY BIKE WORKED GREAT FOR A MONTH AND HALF THEN WOULDNT HOLD A CHARGE BEEN ON A TENDER FOR 3 DAYS STILL TESTS BAD WITH 1.6 VOLTS PURCHASE AT OWN RISK

### ⭐ it looks cheap, they make wild claims of power with no proof. overheated a week later on a hot day.

would not buy again, looks chinese made
