I use hardware cloth on my coop and the plastic hangers on the back of the Royal Rooster products are too wide for the small opening in the wire so I had to fashion a couple metal D-rings on the hardware cloth and the clips on the back of the feeder and waterer hang on there no problem. Chickens figured it out pretty quick and they have been working great, no issues 1 week in. It makes it easy to monitor water and food intake keeps both clean and frees up "floor space" in the coop. The cover on the food has kept all water and debris out. No leaks with the waterer. I only have 4 chickens but I find they like to drink at the same time so I am glad I went with the dual water nipple version. Arrived quick, no damage. Yes, you can make a similar product with supplies from Home Depot but for me, these are just right and by the time I make time to make my own, it would never get done. As for the water, I have some disappointment. The hangers that are riveted on leak. I tried to reach out to the company via email but have yet to receive a response from the. As I was in need of a water for my chickens I had no choice but to repair the water dispenser using silicone sealant. For the price I would have expected a usable product. Next time I will go to EBAY and purchase the kit from a different company for $30 and purchase a customer piece of PVC. When they arrived the waterer leaked in the back. My husband sealed the back. As soon as we fixed that leak a fountain leak started in the front. Resaled it again. Another leak now on the side. We held a flashlight inside now to look for the problem. It iluminated several more tiny drill holes all the way around. Its just been a nightmare.If you buy make sure to return right away if defective.
