Spanish for Everyone Junior: 5 Words a Day (DK 5-Words a Day)

I bought this for my 4th-grader. I like it better than most of the other Spanish books available on Amazon, for 2 big reasons:First, it offers bite-sized easy vocabulary on day-to-day items. Another Spanish book I bought last year spent half the book on just alphabet and numerals, and then it dumped long lists of words at students with little practice. THIS book maintains a steady pace of five common words a day, including numerals, colors, and other basics such as classroom items, body parts, etc. This make sit much more digestible. You don't feel like you are learning "lists" at all.The second thing that makes this book superior is that it comes with a free pass to the publisher's pronunciation website. Students can easily access a page for the current day's words, then play and listen to the vocabulary words online. (Much like the old-fashioned CD sets we used to get in the 90's). The website it easily navigable for finding your specific words for the day.I wish that elementary Spanish books covered just a little bit of grammar -- but it seems none of them do. You may also wish to pair this book with a book of common phrases, as this volume is strictly vocabulary.

Decent for review of words and a few new ones. Kids like it. Fun format.

My daughter loved it. She is doing everything day. There is a site you can follow up the pronunciation. The quality of the book is really good.

K. is a wonderful educational workbook that helps introduce younger school age children to the world of the Spanish language.I have been looking for a fun, educational, and catchy workbook to help start my 6 y/o son into the wide, wonderful world of the Spanish language…and I have found it.Definitely not intimidating, colorful images, and easy to follow patterns and instructions really add to the value of this book. It is fun working with my son on the first few pages (we just started it), but he loves it, doesn’t feel that it is “work”, and is remembering the words so far.Definitely looking forward to continuing the lessons and highly recommend for vocabulary introduction with the younger school-age children.5/5 stars
