You need to position the silicon feet under the Perspex panel to suit the situation for use as deflects in the middle. Item is very light so l also purchased a glass protector which l prefer.

Ordering this was a mistake. I expected this product to be glass as so many other 'worktop protectors' are. I was focusing on size and transparency. The detailed description isn't misleading I simply failed to notice that it said max temperature 80 deg C , that the material is acryllic and not to use knives. Also I didn't read enough of the reviews. However I would argue that the only thing this protects a worktop from is spillages and possible staining. So its title description is misleading. It needs protection itself from hot items and scratching. Even direct spillage of boiling water is too hot although I think it going to be useful for mugs of tea or coffee. Given that it is not glass and overs so little protection I think it is overpriced. As another reviewer has pointed out its rubber feet don't seem to stop it slipping about when wiping the surface clean.

A great item!!Had it made to my measurements for my Kitchen counter-top.Had a glass one previously, it tapped the side of my hob and shattered into a million pieces.This one perfect , made out of acrylic, which is light and easier to mave around.One of my best buys!!

Covers a large area of the worktop so good in that respect.Will only tolerate items up to 80 deg Centigrade and do not use knives on it unless you want lots of scratches.Thought it was glass but that my fault for not reading the text properly

This doesn't really protect worktop as hot items cannot be placed on it. It looks rather cheap and certainly the graphite is difficult to keep stain-free. For the money, certainly not good value - glass protectors can be bought more cheaply.

Great worktop protector.

There is no way this is worth £30. I clearly didn’t read well enough but this is flimsy plastic. I haven’t tried putting anything hot on it yet but don’t expect much. Might be ok for a third of the price.

This warps! Like a lot of people I hadn't realised this isn't glass. My fault for not reading the description properly. Soon found out though you can't put hot things down on it, nor use sharp instruments - like a kitchen knife - anywhere near for fear of scratching. It's lightweight and slides about whenever wiped. And worst of all - within a few months it's warped so is buckling up one end. Very expensive considering it's useless. Going out with the rubbish and I'm going to buy a glass one.
