Yes this does fit ocean kayak brand boats OK. It's not a Vally cover but much less$$$

It doesn't fit great but for the $ it works. It just looks a little odd.

The lid was a little tight out of the box, that I couldn’t push it down completely for a tight seal. Used a heat gun to warm up the inside of the cover, and put it back on. The result is a perfect fit, specially for the price!

Although the size didn't work for my kayak, the cover is very well made and looks very sturdy. As for fit or whether it creates a leak proof seal, I cannot say.

I so badly wish the makers of these hatch covers had bothered to properly measure the part they're cloning. If these fit, they'd be a great budget option costing a fraction of the price of other hatch covers this size. Unfortunately, they don't, and that makes them not just annoying but dangerous.This product is meant to replace Valley / VCP oval hatches, the most common size of hatch cover in modern kayaks. It is the right length and width, but completely the wrong shape. This hatch is too diamond-shaped, too narrow diagonally, to fit the rounder hatches it's meant to. It seems like the manufacturer measured length and width and called it a day, not bothering to think about the shape or test the fit before producing these. I've tried these hatches on several different boats with VCP oval hatches, and all have the same problem: The corners are so tight that they pull up off the hatch rim, not laying flat and leaving significant openings all the way around the hatch. I've tried leaving them on to stretch, letting them warm up in the sun, lubricating with 303, taking them on and off often, and nothing has stretched or relaxed them to fit better.It might seem nitpicky to give one star for a fit that is only a bit off, but a leaky hatch can be a serious safety risk. A large portion of the boats that use these hatches are ocean or touring kayaks which will see a fair bit of water over the deck sooner or later, and I found that even in mild wind and waves that water leaks through these covers. Once water is in these bow and stern compartments, it can be very difficult to remove. Kayaks with bulkheads rarely have drain plugs, and unlike the cockpit, most storage areas can't be totally drained by turning the boat over. Worse, there is realistically no way to drain them while you're on the water.In very rough conditions or a rescue scenario, that could mean half of the boat's volume will accumulate water that can't be removed until you get to shore. This could make both self and group rescues much more difficult, much slower, much more likely to fail. If enough people use these leaky hatches long enough, one will eventually contribute to the death of a kayaker. It's wildly irresponsible that these are sold.

Item is too small for hatch of a Necky Eliza. It covers the hatch, but does not fully and securely latch on under the hatch rim. A kayak hatch cover is a safety device to prevent kayak from being swamped when capsized. This cover will pop off easily because of this lack of secure latching. Not for serious ocean kayaking, Eliza's design objective. OK to use to keep out dust during land storage.
